I have no such issues at all with Mail. But I only use the IMAP protocol. Is this perhaps protocol-specific as some of it sounds like server issues.

Agree mail app is a mess. My Gmail app works perfect though.
I don't like in GMail app how it mixes mail from different accounts despite being in a different context. Very bad 'feature' in my opinion.

Anyway, I'm not seeing these issues that have been described at all. Well, where people actually describe the issue nobody can do anything useful with its a mess, or its garbage etc.

Weird. I have Gmail, 2 x IMAP and Exchange accounts on the Mail App on all my devices and the only problem I see is a notification delay between the sound and the banner and that's on Catalina.

Does Gmail not allow you to go to each account separately (been a while since I used multiple accounts in the Gmail app)?

How do you even supply feedback for the Mail app? It's not listed as an iOS app, so I just sent it via iphone bug reporting, which is probably wrong.

This is a great idea - I have been tracking Exchange (EAS) / native Mail on iOS 13.x and so far have compiled the following table below.

Have found some workarounds via online searching and self troubleshooting.

Would be great if anyone can suggest any other workarounds or inside information on bug fixes in future releases.

If anyone works in the field of MDM / EMM - would even be more appreciative if you can share any insights or odd behaviors with Mail in iOS 13.x 😁

Calendar Invite Not ResponsiveUsers may observe that tapping on calendar invitations/updates in the native Mail app does nothing. The attachment may say "Unavailable" under the filename. At this time the cause of the issue is unknown, however it appears to only occur on iOS 13.0 - 13.1 devices.

Users can work around the issue by accepting EAS calendar invitations/updates in the Calendar app rather than the native Mail app.

Thank goodness for Outlook’s notifications or I’d never known anyone has emailed me since about 2:30pm today when Mail stopped working yet again

I’ve given up on the mall app and moved to outlook after missing several emails yesterday due to lack of notifications working properly and also not notifying my Apple Watch.

Hat's off to you for that - many thanks for your work. Mail continues to be my biggest frustration with 13.

Excellent compilation of issues. Have been having almost all these problems since 13b1..... I did read through the entire thread for 13.2 b3(x) and it seems people are having more issues with the native mail app (anecdotally) than with 13.1.3....... Maybe 13.2 bx was forked earlier and does not yet contain any new mail fixes???
Come on, Apple. This is a release version, and having these types of issues at this point in time defies logic - for a company that prides itself in the quality of product sold.....

Strange thing is that some reported issues that I could not replicate in earlier iOS 13 versions - I can now on 13.2 beta 3 - and vice versa. The "double delete" issue I've never experienced until yesterday.

I have to admit Apple - the quality control is pretty bad - but when you have the entire world as your pilot users, you could save a decent dime! :)

I should mention that these issues are shared across different on-prem Exchange environments - 2010 and 2013 in particular - and some reports on 2016.

While it could be tempting to point the finger at Exchange - it is just too evident that native Mail 13.x is too buggy. Some of these convoluted workarounds are quite amusing as well lol.

7) when forwarding a message the original message gets cut off

I am able to re-produce the truncations of emails being forwarded or replying to. How this for a strange workaround - can you test if it does the trick for your device?

Select the email you want to forward
Then tap and hold on the body to bring up the sub text edit menu
Tap "Select All" (ensure all text is visually higlighted)
Proceed to forward the email

Funny thing is these bugs forced me to gmail app. More I use it the more I am coming to like it over mail app.

Odd the only weird issues I’ll hit is with duplicate emails or a newer email appearing below an older email. E.g.:

4:54pm
7:00pm
4:21pm
3:58pm

I have submitted feedback during the beta and Apple fixed it once.

Can’t even move up and down the list with the keyboard. I’ve even had the app crash trying to navigate. Used spark for a couple of years before moving back to the native mail app because some nice native features. Thinking about moving back to spark

When I push delete within a message, the current message reappears on screen, still unread.

I'm more or less in the same boat. I used to really prefer the native app over the Gmail app, and now it's almost the other way around.

yup the native mail app is messed up alright. It spent hours doing something in the background last night while I was asleep. When I woke up this morning there were just 3 new mails. Who knows what it’s up to. It’s been churning in the background during work hours too. No wonder my battery life was shot today.

My mail app seems okay, but the bottom that just have 2 icon on the right side (not getting the center of it) and the animation when it archived, it’s not the style of Apple’s design.
