At this point *something* needs to come out today. We’re less than a week from the iPhone announcement and there’s not a single beta of iOS 13 that’s anywhere near ready for the public.

unfortunately I don’t foresee any beta’s this week. Usually beta 1 to beta 2 is a two week period. And seeing iOS 13.0 is most likely GM already. Nothing this week. :(

What if they don’t release anything until the event? Could be a possibility. Today doesn’t feel like a beta day. Just my instinct. Hope I’m wrong though :)

Yeah, that’s what logic and history seems to point to...but, good lord, iOS 13 is just SUCH a flaming mess right now. Can’t imagine Apple isn’t gonna break the old patterns and just start pumping out betas. iOS 13 needs all the help it can get.

That said, yeah, probably nothing today. Ugh.

That assumes we've been exposed to every build they're currently considering for iOS 13(.1). Taking into consideration Apple moved quickly from 13.0 to 13.1 prior to the new iOS device announcements, we could be using a non-GM build until a few days prior to release. Hard to say. Fingers crossed for today, though.

Also, don't GM builds have specific identifiers in the build # or something, designating them as such?

Sure, that’s definitely behind 13.1, but that doesn’t have much to do implying that 13.1 will be what gets released as the first public version of iOS 13.
That‘d be the case if they didn‘t forcefully „upgrade“ everyone to 13.1 with the beta profile without giving a GM (has never happened before) so people can get off the ride. Like there has never been a single release where a point release was issued before an official GM so testers can get off the beta ride before the new phones hit.

That‘s why I believe in the tariffs theory and that 13.1 is fast tracked for public release instead of 13.0.

There won't be iOS 13.0 release. I'm speculating, but I think public will be going from 12.4 to 13.1 in 2 weeks.
