So quiet this morning.....new Beta Today? :D

I’m hoping they finally release a new macOS update. Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve noticed iCloud sync issues when iOS & iPadOS updates come out and macOS updates lag behind by a week or two. Usually when macOS gets updated, a lot of my iCloud sync issues seemingly disappear.

Isn’t there a MacOS speculation thread?

I really don’t expect any more iOS 13 betas with the iOS 14 Developer Preview expected in under 4 weeks.

Well, considering my macOS "Speculating" is related to the recent iOS & iPadOS updates, I think it's relevant here. I would also expect an iOS/iPadOS 13.6 beta release at some point for any bug testing that'd probably go live somewhere around WWDC.

Hopefully this helps resolve some of my iCloud syncing issues:

Remember there is still 4 months before the official release of iOS 14. I expect at least one or two point updates before end of september
Similarly I expect bug fixing point releases but I would not expect to see any more iOS 13 beta cycles.

Having said that I just checked previous years. iOS 11 had a beta on May 30th-11.4.1. So maybe we will see a 13.5.1 Beta.

It's extremely likely that well before iOS 14 ships, Apple will patch whatever vulnerability it is that allows the jailbreak for 13.5 and older to work.

I believe Thursday is the last possible date for an iOS 13 beta. Once we are in June it ain’t gonna happen.

With my XS Max, iMac and S4 Watch, I must say that the releases of this past week have finally given me well operating devices that are the pleasure to use that I expected when purchased.
I've removed the beta profiles from all as a result, and will only get back aboard the beta train should the be some unexpected issue that I am thankfully not experiencing on all of my devices. Until this time, gotta say that iOS 13 was a long and bumpy ride for me, and I include in that comment my previous bills of Watch OS and Catalina..... all good now at possibly the end, going to savor the lack of issues for now.

True! I also think there will be some iOS 13 point-release betas.
As gwhizkids has said, beta profiles are major-release specific. So they con easily provide iOS 13.5.x betas together with iOS 14 betas, the profile you install on your device decides, what "train" you're on!

There will most certainly be another beta release. WWDC isn’t until June 22nd, it’s late this year. Last year we were testing 12.4 in May/June, and prior to that was 11.4.1 beta, and in 2017 was 10.3.3 and 9.3.3 in 2016. We even tested 8.4 with the new music app design leading up to WWDC 2015.

As much as some people disagree on this forum, Apple loves receiving feedback from its beta testers. Three weeks with no feedback/bug reports is a long time. The last time we were not testing a beta when WWDC hit was in the iOS 7 days. We tested iOS 8.4, iOS 9.3.3, iOS 10.3.3, iOS 11.4.1 and iOS 12.4 in the weeks leading up to WWDC. All these updates went public in late June/July/early August.

On top of iOS, every macOS release since El Capitan saw a 10.x.6 update released in July. Since Catalina is still not up to quality standards, I see no reason not to see another macOS update. Since a new macOS update needs to be tested, they will release corresponding betas for iOS, watchOS and tvOS as well.

Serious question here, what happens if Apple removes the lightning or USB-C port and we’re running beta software? I guess we’d all have to send our devices to Apple to revert back or undo a bad update.

Apple Watch and Apple TV 4K are already in the port-less boat.

And these devices can’t be reverted on our own.
