Overall feeling deflated by what apple class and an upgrade, I think even the most loyal supporters are now a little bored of what they churn out every year.

Nothing really ground breaking, just regurgitate what others have released years ago

Sad really

Here are the few things that they didn't mention, so volume HUD change can still be a thing.

So we are still stuck with the same **** iPhone home screens?!! No widgets, no split screen, no multitasking, no PiP. Knew it!! Pathetic.

I’m not super excited!!

Ya i mean it's absolutely unbelievable. I just cant despise Apple enough right now.
Im actually more disappointed this year than I was last year. I thought we would finally get some real change and progress. Instead we get dark mode (a feature that we should have had years ago) and thats freaking IT.

I gotta admit, I'm disappointed we're not getting a new home screen/widget design.

I really thought that was coming.

Yeah unless that feature is still to come this sucks.

Go and look at 100 different peoples iPhones on the street and they will all look pretty much the same, just dull. I bet the icons will still wrap from the top not the bottom too.

No one is disputing that. What we’re pissed about is the things we’ve been asking for for years...split screen, PiP, multitasking, home screen customisation. None of it is there it would seem.
While various other things that plenty of people have been asking are there now.

One would have to assume these features are not high on Apple's priority list. That can either be because they feel these types of requests don't fit into iOS's design philosophy, or that there really isn't that much demand for these features out there.

I don't know where Apple gets their metric from. but they claim 97% satisfaction with iOS12. Does this imply that only 3% of people want PiP, split screen, home screen customization etc? No of course it doesn't, but what it does tell us is that only 3% of people are unsatisfied with iOS the way it is. With a satisfaction number this high it's no surprise to me that the core "feel" of iOS is remaining unchanged, once that number starts dropping, we'll start to see more dramatic attempts to wow their users back.

So are we thinking Beta 2 will release on June 23?

Well 23rd is a Sunday so I doubt it, but that week seems likely either the 24th or 25th. I'm wondering if public beta will be week of July 8th or 15th.... or later? I guess it depends on how stable the early dev builds are?
