Since we hit post #2000 today before 10am Pacific, it has to be in the next 24 hours. So it should be either 10am or 1pm Pacific today.

I've informed Apple that we hit the required mark, they are usually pretty good about these sorts of things.

He's speculating...hence, this thread...

Yes I can read the title of the thread thanks. But sometimes people post things in a matter-of-fact way because they see info on 9to5 mac or from one of the leakers on twitter just before 1pm... So i was just making sure.... The way he wrote it seemed like it was solid and not speculation... despite being in the speculation thread.

Speculation wasn't something that was taken just literally in the past, at least not in the sense of people just randomly posting "today" or "not today" or something equivalent of that which didn't really have anything to it and was simply there just to basically make a post and not much else.

My opinion is that unless anyone provides a link or states specifically where they heard it from, they're speculating.

Today is very unlikely as it’s not even been a week, I think macOS will be a week behind but tomorrow should see updates [my guess]

And even then, unless they are Apple themselves or Apple has issued an embargoed press release announcing the impending beta, its still speculation, just second order derivative speculating.

There's only been one person on here that was always right and submitted stuff right before it happened. It was obviously an Apple employee as MacRumors shut down the account after the third or fourth post and deleted all of the history.

Haven't seen any posts like those since.

Then he came back and they nabbed him again. Not sure if an Apple employee or someone very close (like an integrated partner). There was another guy too at a Canadian bank who was getting pre-release versions of betas and was giving some clearly inside info on releases and features. He got banned too (he was much less in it for him/herself and was just trying to use insider info to enlighten people on things, but that's a big no-no, of course!)

And that is how a lore and legend was created right there.

Whilst you are probably correct re this weeks release. It’s not unusual for Apple to do releases less than a week apart. Although it is usually to fix a critical bug rather than for sh!ts and giggles.
