The redesigned Now Playing widget for the Control Center is missing for me since beta 4....anybody else have noticed this or is it a bug affecting only few?

Here's mine, just working. Maybe you should download the IPSW and update the OS again to fix this and any other issues.

Compare with the image below...this is what I used to get after connecting AirPods...but it is missing since beta 4

Like I said, reinstall the OS from an IPSW. Not necessarily wipe and reinstall, just reinstall as in Option + Update.

Music song titles no longer scroll in the music player in Control Center and Lock Screen.
Is this by design or a bug?

Most likely a bug. Mine don't either. Just until yesterday before updating to "Release Candidate" the titles were scrolling just fine.

Bluetooth stack is still having issues in the GM. my iPhone 7 plus is still disconnecting and reconnecting on my Bose headphones while concurrently in a zoom call running on my iPad on iOS 13. Fix it please Apple ! Very frustrating to keep getting the voice prompt saying my iPhone has disconnected from my headphones while in a zoom call speaking on the mic.

Both iPad and iPhone are connected by bluetooth to the Bose headphones but only the iPhone has issues staying connected. Didn't happen before in iOS 13.

OS 14.2 Release Candidate

Release Date ― October 30, 2020
Build Number ― 18B91
Darwin Kernel Version ―

Apple's release notes for the update are included below:

There are also separate release notes for iPadOS 14 with iPad-specific changes such as camera improvements for the iPad Air's camera, which is gaining A14 photography features that were also brought to new ‌iPhone 12‌ models.

New Issues
  • Double click to pay animation bar sometimes goes crazy and fills the right edge of the display, bouncing erratically. (iPhone 12 Pro, maybe others)
  • Long-press on a widget followed by choosing “Edit Home Screen” intermittently fails to reveal the + and “Done” buttons in the top corners (iPhone 12 Pro). Doing the same on an app icon or longer press (wait for edit/wiggle mode) seems to work normally.
Remaining Issues
Resolved Issues
  • Fixes the update iOS notification bug

It looks like 14.2 is enhancement for new iphone 12.

Ugh. This release candidate has broken Airplay when using it on a WiFi network with no internet, such as an Airport Express in a car.
Airplay device doesn’t show on iOS 14.2 but shows up fine on 14.1

UPDATE: Airplay on Airport Express no longer works.

This version isn’t much better than iOS 14.1. Not good battery life, today view is always freezing for me and if I have smart stacks I can’t switch between the widget there and I only see an invisible widget, another freeze

And again imessage notifications didn't show up, had to go into the app, to see if there is a new message...
It's just annoying.... Had this also in beta 4 and beacause of this i downgraded back to 14.1 where the problem does not exist. I hoped they would have fixed it now... but unfortunately no -.-
And now again back to iOS 14.1, good that I made a backup before. What a shame.

I don't know if they would have called it the release candidate or beta 5 if they were not pressed to release an update owing to the beta update popup. We might just see one more release candidate on Tuesday. Maybe, not sure.

Airplay not working here now cannot airplay to none of my Homepods!

iMessage keyboard lag is gone for me in this build.

This is virtually the only bug I’ve come across in the past week of using my 12 pro

Pretty impressive for launch software

How’s battery seem so far?

I was hoping 14.2 would improve this but the calendar widget drives me insane. How is this helpful when one all day event does this? I know I can use the bigger one, but even that drives me insane with the weekly calendar on it. It feels like the space is not being used well.
