If your battery started to drain since 14.2/3/4, what phone do you have?

Can anyone confirm this is already fixed in latest beta 14.4 in iPhone SE 2? Thanks!

I've started seeing 20% overnight drain on my iPhone XS recently. I updated to 14.3 whenever it launched but just started seeing the increased drain in the past few weeks. My battery health is 96%. I do have an Apple Watch connected if that matters - I would previously lose 5-6% overnight. Not the worst in the world but I'm wondering what may be the cause and hoping 14.4 will be a fix.

In my case my drain issue disappeared when I changed from 4G to 5G auto in mobile network settings. Now it only drain 4-5% at night and my battery hold a lot better at day to.

I set it at 4G because I thought it would save battery but I was wrong ....

That graph doesn't look bad to me. I still get slight battery drain during non-use but my big issue was the 12am nosedive in battery life that would occur every night. The 14.4 beta 2 version seems to have resolved that issue.

My iPhone 7 Plus has a health level of 85% now. I think it has dropped 2-3% since this issue started with my update to iOS 14. Eventually when this issue is resolved I don't planning on updating to the newest version immediately anymore.

It goes from 60% to 14% in a few minutes and back to 60% just by turning it off and on again.
How come is this normal?

I found the problem. I enabled everything back to defaults. I then disabled raise to wake. Voila! Battery doesn’t drain.

Well, maybe its not an Issue with IOS 14.3, maybe it is exactly what Apple wants, for you and me to upgrade... They have been previously charged with Obsoletion Programming and found Guilty... Many times, juts by having my BT headphones and with mobile data calling a Uber, it drains like its seconds countdown... I Will try what has been said here, but its clearly not a bug its clearly in purpose...

Seeing that you have iPhone 12's with the same issue, kind of invalidates that theory.

Me:
Stick it on charge when I'm about to go sleep.
Wake up in the morning with a fully charged battery.
Don't stress over battery issues and enjoy using my phone.
/End.

Yes, that’s one way to do BUT you still have a issue and by charging at night you just hide it. If there is high drain in standby at night that will affect your battery life at daytime to. It will effect your overall battery health because you have to charge more often

I have a handset that I will keep for 2 years max, and then move on to something newer.
If my battery is less then 50% I stick it on overnight without even batting an eyelid.
If its more then 50% I'll wait until Im at work the next day and leave it charging on my desk.
I have other things to stress over. Stressing over battery life in a phone is of no importance to me.
Every time I come to sell my handset the battery health is generally around 90-92% anyways, and Ive never missed out on a sale, or had to take any less, because of a battery issue. Seems to work Ok for me.
I just feel theres more to worry about in life other then stressing over battery health in a phone. I didn't even realise there was a battery drain issue before reading this thread TBH! lol

Just my opinion, and I completely respect that others may completely disagree.

Sorry, I didn't see that in the screenshot you sent. To me, it looked like there was gradual battery loss without any app usage and drain when there was. There is definitely an issue with the battery drain still persisting. It doesn't look bad to me because I didn't see the typical 12am nosedive in battery life overnight.

battery drain is the same on all 3 phones iphone 6s, iphone se, iphone xs.

its gotta be something with mobile reception even when wifi in enabled because all the ipads have no problems. BT enabled on all.

i used google maps on the iphone xs the other day for directions in the country side where reception is kinda spotty and it dropped around 15% in 30mins. i dont remember google maps using that much.

You are missing the point. It's obviously a bug and happening on all models of iPhones (old and new).

Why should we accept it? Would it not be better to report the bugs to Apple or as a collective, constructively try to troubleshoot it.

Scenario: Buys Tesla. Supposed to do 200 miles. Only does 100 miles. It's ok though, no need to be stressed, it's no problem charging it up every time the car is parked. it will be sold in a few years and some idiot will buy it.

or

Scenario: Buys Tesla. Supposed to do 200 miles. Only does 100 miles. It's not ok. I paid a lot of money for this car. I will let Tesla know. Lots of other people let Tesla know. Tesla identify a problem. The car now does 200 miles.

See my point?

I agree. Definitely a bug. All we can do it report to Apple and wait :)

Just an update: I upgraded to an iPhone 7 Plus. My wife has the 6S. So far the battery life seems ok on the 7 Plus with 14.3. From my poll iPhone 7 Plus is affected, so I will monitor it and see what happens.

My battery dropped from 96% to 75% overnight (about 8 hours) while idle -- and in low power mode. I have background app refresh off. This is crazy. This is a replacement (brand new) 12 Pro Max that I restored from iCloud backup.
