At least this beta brought back the volume and audio quality of my Bluetooth earphones to the level it was two betas ago. It drove me crazy how I had to consistently raise the volume to nearly 50% lately when previously I was 3 notches down from that level. I thought it was my hearing or maybe something with the earphones - I hadn’t quite connected it to the beta updates until just before updating to this latest beta. Turns out it was Apple fooling around, it is now fixed for me. 😅

Night Shift set to automatically turn on and off by sunrise / sunset is still not working after a reboot on my 12 Pro Max. I need to go into the privacy settings > Location Services > System and toggle it off and on for it to start working again. Otherwise it doesn’t seem to get that it’s already dark outside after a reboot
Not sure this is ever gonna work “properly”/intuitively again. Perhaps we’ll have to wait for iOS 15 or so 😜

See my post #38.

Can't say this is a solution for everyone, but it's working for me at the moment. I'm not having any other issues really. And I DFU restored my phone last night and set it up as new. It's making me wonder if it's an iMessage issue, something in the API, maybe?

Time will tell, of course.
Hmm, okay, thanks, I'll consider it!

For more context: this bug is only happening on my 11" iPP (which is, arguably, my main media device).

Its greyed out for me as well on 14.2.1. Other songs still have lyrics. Maybe there's some issue server side that they were removed? That is odd.
I've just downloaded the new Bring Me The Horizon album and have lyrics available on the first track. Switched over to a couple of tracks from a playlist of mine (also downloaded) and the lyrics button is now highlighted but no lyrics showing.

Using this website playing the video in a dark room, my screen is brighter (green tint) at its dimmest setting than its brightest, even though they should both be the same as its effectively off.

Hoping someone would be kind enough to check something for me. Installed RC 2 and still same issue. In the phone app, I have favorite contacts with either pictures or the initials that the phone generates. When I click on any of the other tabs at the bottom of the phone app then go back to the favorites tab, in about 1-3 seconds, all the contact photo thumbnails blink/flicker for a split second. Is anyone else seeing this? Never had this on any other update. I went as far as deleting all pics and reloading them thinking perhaps photos were corrupt, but the issue still persists. This only occurs in the phone favorites tab, not in any other element with photos. I appreciate anyone verifying.

12P on RC2, not seeing this.

I see. That was unclear from "Even after the OTA update, the firmware still remains incompatible."

Ah yes, my remark was contextual to the entire post wherein I mentioned that I had tried the firmware while being on RC1 and then tried again after RC2 to check, to no avail. I can see how it could cause misunderstanding.

What are you toggling in system? I have iPhone 12 Pro 14.3 RC 2 and don’t have the sunrise/sunset option for Night shift. I can set times manually mind!

Seems with iOS 14.3 RC 2 Apple Music crashes when playing to HomePod mini.

steps to repeat, open home app select HomePod mini speaker select radio station and start playing, then skip a few songs and boom iOS 14.3 RC 2 Apple Music crashes.

Hmm. That's interesting. A few others posted they are seeing the same. I am also on a 12 Pro. It is very subtle and doesn't happen when you first launch into the tab. If you go out and come back in, 90% of the time, it blinks. Turning up brightness makes it more visible.

This happens for me on 14.2.1

Hmm ok so the keyboard lag issue in iMessage still present on my iOS 14.2 iPhone 11 Pro. Still no fix for that in release notes apparently. Tried doing a hard restart as suggested by many, still an issue. Got to say I switched from Android this year and kind of regretting it. Can't believe how buggy this code is. I know lots of folks are using the bare minimum iPhones for this update, but there is no reason why my iPhone 11 Pro would be having keyboard lag in iMessage right after updating to iOS 14. Pretty frustrating. Has anyone found a fix to that issue? Want to avoid completely wiping out my phone.
