So I went to go on the feedback app to report again message notifications not working right and feedback app isn’t there. Deleted the profile reinstalled it restarted my phone each time prompted and it still hasn’t appeared

That's because this is a RC -- those don't contain the Feedback app like the other betas do.

RC1 had Feedback app. Looks like it is indeed gone from RC2. This must be the final build

Just type applefeedback:// into Safari.

Anyone having emails sync issues specifically with Outlook accounts? My account is pretty big with some quite old emails and it will download a few years worth and then just error. Meanwhile the outlook app, as always, works perfectly.

I left it downloading a very large folder, it did six years worth, and is now stuck. And it will now not do any other folders.

Anyone else?

Edit: just checked on my 14.2 iPad and email won’t synchronise on that either and says last updated on the 21st of August 2020, which of course is a load of rubbish as it was updated last week. I wonder if there is yet another Microsoft/Apple email issue.

Edit 2: My iPad has finally updated the email but phone still screwed

No time zone change this time, but, it may not have been the actual OS / upgrade race condition. I was talking to someone at work last night who has an iPhone 6 (so, unlikely even running iOS 14) - who had their time zone changed from PT to Honolulu time the same evening I did - making this sound like it may have been an iCloud glitch pushing this out to people.

Messages
12 ProMax, 11 ProMax, IPP 11 (2020)

Will do a bit more testing later today.

First the good news - I am not aware of any missing Messages so far 🤞🤞🤞

Now the Other news - Badges are not working on my IPP 11 and 11 ProMax for new Messages. These are showing up as already read. This includes the Blue dot you get when you open Messages. NOTE: the 12 ProMax has a SIM while the others are wifi only.

Mail
12 ProMax and 11 ProMax
Same accounts set up on each device.

Issue: The badge count displayed on the Home screens seldom agree. Very seldom. If I manually refresh, they will match for a while. The Exchange account seems to always match each other while the Gmail and iCloud are very hit / miss.

Accounts:
Exchange (MS)
Gmail x2
iCloud

Reported via Feedback link.

To be a final version candidate, I see too many people with many bugs: some new, some already known. It gives the feeling that Apple is improvising more than ever.

I would like to apologize to entire community forums this evening for me being wrong last time. I got my info from apple team regarding build number and was told wrong and ran with it.... I have been in the industry since 1995 and should know better.

Once again my apology to everyone who proved me wrong or was upset with me during our last discussion.

thank you
OK. You are back on my viewed posters list.

One thing this year...actually the last couple of years...has shown is that Apple is not going to hew to any sort of pattern on these releases, at least not a pattern necessarily discernible to those of us outside the circles of the engineers and directors who decide when they are shipping something. The only certain thing out there is when we actually see a release.

A forum like this is not a good place to judge the sturdiness of any particular software build. The 99% of people with no problems are not posting that they have no problems.

That said, I would have to imagine that given the number of SKUs this software must now support, it is getting harder and harder for Apple to squash all the bugs.

Messages
Sadly all is not well.

Here we go...
Did 10 SMS/MMS/Messages from 12ProMax, 11ProMax, IPP11, Razer, GalaxyS8, GalaxyNote10, Pixel4

On the iDevice side incoming to the 12ProMax:
Notifications: Failure for an SMS from the GalaxyS8 and Razer
Messages: One SMS from the GalaxyS8 failed to arrive

Side Note: just after I finished doing this test, I received two iMessage from my daughter. Notifications showed up only for the 12ProMax. Notifications failed on the 11ProMax and IPP11 though both received the iMessages.
See attached Home screenshots of the 11PM (Apple wp) and 12PM (scenic wp) - same setups (for testing)

Still looks like we are having issues.

At least this beta brought back the volume and audio quality of my Bluetooth earphones to the level it was two betas ago. It drove me crazy how I had to consistently raise the volume to nearly 50% lately when previously I was 3 notches down from that level. I thought it was my hearing or maybe something with the earphones - I hadn’t quite connected it to the beta updates until just before updating to this latest beta. Turns out it was Apple fooling around, it is now fixed for me. 😅

Gmail will no longer show unless you manually refresh. They killed the push feature years ago (with iOS). Still do it on their app though. So that will cause some discrepancy with your badge count. Apparently iCloud is hit or miss always, so I hear (I don't use it). Exchange/Outlook does work fine.

Simple fix for all of them, switch to outlook app for all email.

I have found my Gmail app badge to accurately represent the number of emails in the account so far. Never once wrong. But, it is possible that it might be that I receive very few emails in that Gmail account, maybe 3-4 a month, and usually all of them in one day when I make some transactions that send emails to that ID. People might be having issues with a larger unread count or a more frequent email reception than mine.

My one Gmail account avgs 100 a day. I have to agree, the Gmail app is usually spot on.
That account is my "email for online shopping signups" and similar items.

Not having any problem with gmail. It is the only account I use to receive my email as all my other accounts are forwarded to gmail. Has been completely accurate throughout the beta process and RC’s. Gmail has been awesome even thru all the email issues during the ios13 betas.

Back to Messages - IPP 11
At times when I open Messages, the display acts like there is an onscreen keyboard present and the iMessages jump to the top of the screen. Not sure if this is a keyboard or Messages issue.

Been seeing this off and on throughout the 14.3 beta and RC process.
