Who else has the issues with Messages from FB,IG or other alerts coming in silent? I have my volume and Akers on high and I am watching TV and my phone is next to me? I see it light up alerts but they don’t make any noise???

Do I need to be looking at the phone for the alerts to sounds off? Is it some options that I have turned on? Or is this a bug?

OK let me clarify. Gmail in the iOS mail app is where push no longer works. As I said, it DOES work in the Gmail app and yes its always spot on. There was a change years ago (I believe it was a licensing issue) that Apples app stopped supporting push with Gmail. Sorry if I wasn't clear earlier.

Oh yes, now it is clear. Thank you. Yes, it is said that push for Gmail in the iOS Mail app doesn’t work anymore. I haven’t tried to corroborate.

I left it downloading a very large folder, it did six years worth, and is now stuck. And it will now not do any other folders.

Edit: just checked on my 14.2 iPad and email won’t synchronise on that either and says last updated on the 21st of August 2020, which of course is a load of rubbish as it was updated last week. I wonder if there is yet another Microsoft/Apple email issue.

Edit 2: My iPad has finally updated the email but phone still screwed

I had this problem on a single device with O365/Exchange. Worked on another device running the beta but not on a 12PM.

Had to do a factory reset and reinstall and it started working again.

Was a little frustrating.

Yeah I can imagine. I don’t want to go down that router again just yet. Will see how it goes. It’s usable at the moment...
 
Does this bring the PS5 controller support that is supposed to be with it? So many people online claiming it is in this release, but only comment is about beta 1 and beta 3 not having it. I've not gone onto the beta/RC, so wondered if anyone could confirm it's part of the RC?

Hi, I confirm that I too received iMessages between yesterday and today and I can say that it has been fixed. I also tell you that at the moment, I didn't have the lag problem during the first few seconds of typing with the keyboard. can you confirm me?

Just got the keyboard lagginess on my SE 20. Weird it didn’t happen till now. I don’t much like it.

EDIT: Well a few hours later it doesn't seem to be constant, more sporadic. Weird, but better at least

So what’s with people having feed back and others done when it comes to RC? Mine was gone since RC1

Typo just fixed.. with messages and alerts from social media? Mine are like 85 percent silent most of the time? All I see if my screen light up when alerts from social comes in.

Yep same here has exact same issues had to reset and restore from backup
 
My txt and SMS from
Android and iMessage seems to be working fine for now. I just have other alerts that are silent or don’t appear as notification like FB, IG etc etc
