Are you saying the sound quality in the APPs decreased or...?
That’s not how semantic version numbering (which Apple follows for the most part) works; changes don’t have to be “visible.”The last few 14.x updates have felt more like 14.x.y updates. Barely any substantial visible changes.
I guess they have their reasons (different code branches, etc.) but it's different than what I'm used to!
Battery on my 12 Mini is just as good as it was before on beta 2 and beta 1. Off the charger at 0700 and now sitting at 74% with an hour left in my work day.
Not sure what all the fuss is about.
Pretty much exactly what I was implying. It’s a vocal minority and tends to be the same few in every thread.
You’re able to classify Bluetooth devices as what you want, hopefully this is a fix for volume randomly turning down for being to loud.
I know and it would seem that by this time some folks battery would be drained in 10 minutes since it drops more and more with every update.Pretty much exactly what I was implying. It’s a vocal minority and tends to be the same few in every thread.
Anybody else seeing worse ram management after the update? I hoesntly can’t remember seeing so many Safari refreshes on 14.3. Thumbs down for sure.
Question for one the folks who like higher end in ear music headphones.
With RC, listening to musical audio I can now hear a very noticiable difference between my Airpods Pro and B&O H5. With b1 and b2 there was a difference but not to this extent. Currently listening to Peter Buka.
Is it the APP’s need an update or ...
Are you saying the sound quality in the APPs decreased or...?
Yes. The sound from the APPs has decreased.
It isn’t as crisp and lacks depth in comparison.
Exactly. By no means am I saying it doesn’t happen. Runaway apps/processes can make a huge impact but a restart typically resolves that. I just don’t get what people are going for when all 12 devices can easily last a full day with average use. I get the feeling that the ones with the most issues are what could be defined as “power users” that think they should be able to do all of their communication/work/media intake with one device without having to worry about the battery and outside of the fringe Pro Max, that’s not what these devices are designed to do.I know and it would seem that by this time some folks battery would be drained in 10 minutes since it drops more and more with every update. With that said it does seem mine dropped a bit faster yesterday than it typically does. But I just jumped on 14.4 from 14.3. So will have to watch it for a few days but its not like its anything severe. (for me at least)
UpstaySoooooo... big question... stay on 14.3 (which on my 12, for speed and bat is amazing) or update to 14.4 when it’s out?
I would say, be a late adopter. Stay 1-2 weeks after the release and reading the pros/cons experiences of the new update.Soooooo... big question... stay on 14.3 (which on my 12, for speed and bat is amazing) or update to 14.4 when it’s out?
So has 14.4 RC fixed (or attempted to fix) the messaging and email notification issues? Or has Apple decided its customers don't really need notifications?

New update about the poll on reddit (/iphone12mini).
“Same drain” are 25 not 26.

Me, I have an iPad Pro and a desktop PC at work that does most everything I need outside of texting (I turned off Message notifications because I was getting hit on my watch and iPad for every message and it got really annoying how they didn’t seem to communicate). When I’m home/away from work it’s all Mini and it holds up great.
Hopefully they’re able to eventually boost the battery to a point where it’s closer to what the 11 series has but in the meantime, I believe they’re sufficient and some folks may need to check their expectations. In the end it really comes down to science and Apple’s willingness to sacrifice their “thinner is better” philosophy for a little more power. That is until battery technologies get the much needed (and overdue) boost that other sectors of technology seem to have often these days.
