Battery on my 12 Mini is just as good as it was before on beta 2 and beta 1. Off the charger at 0700 and now sitting at 74% with an hour left in my work day.

Not sure what all the fuss is about.
If you’re not Currently experiencing any bugs you won’t see what all the fuss is about.

With the greatest of respect, it really isn’t. Only a handful of people that have replied therefore the results mean very little. Now if you could magically get millions to respond that would give us a really good idea
Check Apple’s official forums. There are a few threads hundreds of pages long full of people experiencing the problems mentioned in this thread and more. All of those people have an iPhone 12 series phone. From the 12 mini all the way to the 12 Pro Max.

And it’s still statistically insignificant based on the non-scientific sample but more importantly the total number of devices in the field. Not saying that this doesn’t impact a lot of users, but you cannot discern general trends from that kind of dataset. “Hundreds of pages in the forums” can be easily hundreds of pages of many of the same people posting repeatedly.

I think someone should start a new thread specifically for people experiencing problems with their iPhone 12 series phone. Unless there already is a thread like that.
you’re right - We do need millions of people reporting these problems. Because Apple don’t seem to care. And, it’s not like Apple aren’t aware of the issues with the iPhone 12 series phones, their forums are full of thousands of people reporting issues. I also think the fact that iOS 14.4RC has been released so quickly is a sign that, internally Apple now full well there are lots of issues with the iPhone 12 series. And, said issues don’t seem to be going away no matter how many iOS updates they release.

I’m on iOS 14.4 RC on my iPhone 12 Pro Max and it hadn’t fixed anything for me. The battery life on my 12PM is terrible. I’d return the phone but Apple will only replace it with another 12PM and the problems seem to be with the 12 series hardware, not software.
iOS 14.4 RC doesn’t seem to have fixed much at all, if anything.

You’re right and I agree. But I’m following one thread regarding battery life in the iPhone 12 series on Apple’s official forums and there are a lot of different posters with new people joining the thread each day. You are right, but the problems with the iPhone 12 series do seem to causing a lot of people problems.
everyone experiencing any problems with the iPhone 12 series phones all need to contact Apple because that’s the only way we’re going to be able to move forward.
iOS 14.4 RC doesn’t seem to have improved anything. And the fact that we’re at 14.4RC so quickly seems to show that Apple are trying to fix issues that they’ve been aware of for a while.
I like my 12 pro max, but the battery life is absolutely terrible. The phone gets very hot whilst charging (hotter than any previous phone I’ve owned) and, it heats up whilst off charge and in general usage. iOS 14.4 RC hasn’t improved these issues for me at all.
you are spot on though, we need a much more reliable data set. At the moment I’m just hoping with each update that things improve. As of iOS 14.4 RC the problems myself and many other people are experiencing remain.

Do you own a pair of wireless headphones that are not Apple's? I have a feeling that my Sony wireless headphones do not work with Apple's decibel monitoring in Health app. If any member is using another brand's wireless earphones/ headphones, could they please check this?
My Jabra Elite 75t report decibel levels in the Health app.

Great response as well!

Genuine question, is this poll supposed to prove anything? Or even be indicative of anything?
Proves nothing. There is a VERY small percentage of iPhone users on this or even Apple support groups. It is well known that any public forum is primarily populated by someone that has something to complain about, not a representative sampling of users. Polls are inherently subject to to inaccuracies with a margin of error even when “scientifically” designed, and any poll on here is far from scientifically structured. With over 80% of iPhones running IOS 14.XX, the number of users complaining are equivalent to a seagull crapping in an ocean. Won’t even talk about those posting about design features that they call issues because they want something to work differently. Are there bugs, of course. We’re there bugs previously, of course. Will there be bugs going forward, yes.

It seems that the switches there aren't necessarily something that everyone can actually control -- some discussion of that sort of thing in a few threads:
I have to say if it’s not already been answered the lowering of the volume is a new feature it can’t be deactivated. My volume lowers daily for listening too loud and I really don’t like it. You should be able to choose this volume safety feature.

With RC this is back in Messages on my IPP11
121A4459-0110-46AE-B1CB-471F61E6350E.jpeg

Message text bar is missing. Selecting another thread then going back fixes it. So does killing the app and relaunching.

Even with the true tone activated, I see the screen with very cold colors. I unplugged him to test, and the difference is small in the display of colors. Has anyone else using this feature noticed something like this?

11 and 12 ProMax - for me there is a noticeable difference. While I may not call it "warm", it is not as cold (blue) as with True Tone off. Brightness level also appears to have an impact to my eyes.

Anyone else having issues streaming video? Im connected to 5G, I can access the internet, use FB, text, phone calls, etc. However, when there is a video imbedded in a website, it will not play. If I go to youtube, I can search, but when I go to play a video, it just spins, and never buffers to play. Its that way on several websites, and the app, so it seems like a phone issue. Ive switched to airplane mode and back, with no luck, turned off 5G, and dropped to LTE, no luck there either. Any thoughts?

Have you tried a hard reset? Seems to be a pretty effective cure-all with these devices.

Sounds like your carrier is limiting you base on how much data you’ve used this month. Check your usage.
