Never do Apple delta updates.
Good lord, that's a terrible prompt. The only update showing in Software Update is for Big Sur, yet after some research I learned this just updates some minor package. Really lame.

It's way too early to tell. We only got this 24 hours ago. How's the battery life on this?

Itunes is cleanerWhy not update OTA? 🤦♂️
Interresting that you day that! Thought I was making this up, but things feel a little bit smoother animation wise for me too.The app switcher animation lag on iPhone 12 Pro seems to be gone. Been using the beta for the past 8 hours with no issues yet. Last beta it showed up within an hour or two. 🤞
Yup. What’s weird is the RC fixed that issue for my 12Pro. However I did a full OS iTunes install today and it’s back.. even though it’s the same software. The stupid empty/shortened text box bug is still there upon opening a message thread in Messages.

I installed the RC 5 days ago and battery life has been excellent for me.How's the battery life on this?
Same! Still having this issue on 14.4. Hoping next Beta works itself out, but not holding my breath. Been like this ever since 14.0. Didn’t happen on 13. Not like it hurts anything or makes something not work but very annoying to say the least! My top bug as of right now. Thx for the feedback!Yup. What’s weird is the RC fixed that issue for my 12Pro. Edit.
Worked fine for me installing 14.4 on iPad Air 2 and iPhone 12 through lightning cable. macOS 10.15.7I just tried to install it using my Mac running the latest version of Catalina. No dice. You have to be running Big Sur to install 14.4. Apple...WTF?!?!
Why do people make these idiotic, demonstrably untrue claims? What do they get out of it?I just tried to install it using my Mac running the latest version of Catalina. No dice. You have to be running Big Sur to install 14.4. Apple...WTF?!?!

No, you do not have to be running Big Sur in order to install iOS 14.4.
iPhone 12 mini, update with iTunes (~5gb)First night after update from 14.3 to 14.4. Battery drain is maybe worst than before, from 100% to 95% in 10h, usually it lose 2-3% after full charge in the same time. Will see if it depends on indexing or not...a bit scared, 14.3 was not so bad at all!
Just wondering what did you post?

Just a week ago I made update from 14.2.1 to 14.3, even by itunes (restore and update). In that case I saw an immediate battery improvement from the first night (nothing exceptional of course), I would say from 0.7-0.8/H to 0.6-0.7/H. Considering that when the phone indicates 100% it is actually 105-106% effective, drain after the first night with iOS 14.4 seems to have risen to 0.9-1.1/H.You saved yourself with the qualifier. But why even comment on it? The re-indexing thing is a well known phenomenon. If it’s happening after 2-3 days, then it’s a thing. Until then, it’s really not.
