I had this on iOS 14.4 sometimes when taking out my AirPods and putting them away. It would trigger the iPad start playing some random music of my library. Haven't seen it on 14.5 beta 1 so far.

What do you see when you open the Music app? Does it play there? Then you should see where it comes from.
When I open the IPP the music stops and nothing is playing (music) nor is anything open in task.
By the icon it looks like Apple Music. However if I click that app, it takes me into the new user screen.

baffling.

New user screen in what app?

I’v now done several EQ tests.
iPhone 12 Pro Max with 14.5 beta 1:
No EQ for AirPods Pro. Changing settings simply doesn’t do anything.
No EQ for Beats Studio 3.

iPhone 7 Plus with 14.4:
EQ works for AirPods Pro.

iPhone 7 Plus with 14.5 beta 1:
No EQ for AirPods Pro, just like with the 12 Pro Max.

Does anyone have similar experiences?

No music controls on lock screen. Never seen that one before.

Also this, when I tapped a “share to Apollo” button in Apple Music. Nice touch.

Edited to add: Helluva day with the AirPods. They’ve gone silent three times in the last few minutes while waiting to take off. Seems to happen when the phone tries to unlock using my watch. I have to switch to phone speaker and back to get audio back.

Just checked and they’re back (without even looking at your suggested setting). Thinking about it now, when I have noticed it is when I’ve been using AirPods Pro. Don’t know if there is a connection there.

Anyway, sorry I’ve derailed the thread.

Hello. My photos does not sync with iCloud because says that don’t have enough space despite I have more than 100gb free.

Aside from the odd tiny bug such as app crashes etc 14.5 Beta 1 is running smooth on my iPhone 12 Pro max. I’m still not entirely happy with battery life, but I’ve come to the conclusion that the battery life is what it is.

Are you looking at your device's free space or iCloud's free space? I'm guessing that it's your iCloud storage that doesn't have enough space to sync your photos.

When selecting the now playing music from the control centre there used to be a list of previously played music (8 tracks IIRC) now there is only either the last played track or “not playing” if you have closed the music app down. I hope this is a bug as I liked the feature and it was easy to switch selection around.
Mine is still there, and I have 12 tracks to choose from. Might be a bug.

Have they finally fixed the division into separate devices in the Health app after restoring the system from backup??

This beta seems to break the First Bankcard app and the QuickType Face ID authentication functionality in the Strongbox Password Safe app. The former loads to a fully black screen that doesn’t resolve to anything. The latter generates the following error:

“Face ID Failed Face ID has failed: Error Domain=com.apple.LocalAuthentica- tion Code=-1004 "Caller is not running foreground." Userinfo={NSLocalized- Description=Caller is not running foreground.}. You must now enter your password manually to open the database.”

I reproduced both issues on two different phones running this beta. Both have been reported to Apple.

It's not unusual at all for Banking apps to fail with Beta software. Many of them deliberately will not allow operation under beta.

Is anyone else seeing WiFi issues with a 12 Pro Max where it just disconnects randomly and the only way to restore is restart the phone? Had this happen twice in two days… just submitted a feedback report.
Bizarrely I just came in here to ask the same question and did not even have to search, your post was the second post I glanced at.

same phone, exactly the same issue.

what WiFi hardware are you using? I use Google WiFi…. But doubt that is the issue as the phone can’t see any WiFi networks until I reboot the phone.

disabling and enabling WiFi does not fix it, nor does airplane mode.

watch remains connected to WiFi throughout

Banking apps and early betas do not seem to get along. May require the app to be updated rather than anything “fixed” on Apple’s end.
