Typing “RIP” used to trigger the gravestone emoji suggestion (🪦), but now it doesn’t work for me.

Not sure if it’s because I’m on 14.5 or what. Can anyone confirm that it still works?
Works on 14.4 OK

Interesting evening ….
Scene: Watched the Superbowl on my IPP 11 and 12 PM. I would swap between them depending on what I was doing; snacks, beer, soda, water, …

Swapping back and forth between devices using Spectrum TV app and PIP worked well on both. Airpods Pro - not so much.
APP would not swap back and forth between devices. I had to manually trigger it in Settings. A reboot didn’t help. A reboot of the IPP was required at one point to get it to even recognize my APP. Battery life for some reason has been poor on the APP since swapping to b1 v2 on my devices.
APP fully charged at start of game. 10% bong (sound) at start of 3rd quarter. Let them charge during the 3rd quarter. They made it through the 4th and part of the aftergame interviews. Bonged again.

IPP and 12PM did okay on battery. Anyone know of a way or is there something in iOS/iPadOS that allows you to see APP battery use over time?

I guess they removed that autocorrect suggestion on 14.5…

RIP: convenience.

I find if I am typing and a word that spell check doesn't recognize and doesn't correct, "frequently corrects wrongly", and the word has a red line, if I manually tap on the word the auto-correct line with suggestions will display. See this in messages and mail. 54B40E66-226F-4D96-97A9-F7995A4A3000.jpeg

.
As an FYI, I have had to reboot both my 12 ProMax and IPP 11 more often to fix issues that keep popping up than any previous beta in the 14.x series.

Latest: Airdrop stopped working on IPP. A reboot fixed.

Anyone else have issue with OneDrive for Business integration in MS Apps eg. Word, Excel?

My personal OneDrive works but Business keeps showing a yellow hazard and Not yet connected. I select it and enter my user/pass and it shows files but whenever I change folders it keeps prompting again.

The OneDrive app, Outlook, and Files app have no issues with my business account... it is just the separate apps like Word.

Did you try disabling and re-enabling (not just disconnecting) WiFi? I noticed that my WiFi connection randomly drops out and for me that works instead of rebooting the entire device

One big win for me so far; the app freezing along with the 12 ProMax getting hot has gone away.
Crossing fingers and hoping it stays that way. Will update my IPP 11 today. Hoping for the same for it.

Hoping Hoping Hoping ....

Did I say I was hoping?

Update:
Okay, the freezing of the screen of my IPP especially on apps that are graphic intensive, it has decreased under v2 of Beta 1. I did discover another tidbit by chance and have confirmed this; when the screen freezes for touch, my Magic Keyboard screen controls continue to work just fine. As always, killing the app and relaunching fixes the problem for now. At this point it looks like something is hinkey with iPadOS and touch controls.

Reported via feedback.

I’m pleasantly surprised to say CarPlay still works on my 2016 Ford with Sync3 after updating to the public beta. The only hiccup is that after plugging in my phone, I have to unlock it to launch CarPlay. That’s a glitch I can easily live with for a Beta!

public beta? the release with CarPlay issues is 14.5 beta 1, and you have that working with your ford?

Yes. It’s a 2016 Fiesta ST with Sync 3. I have to unlock my phone to launch CarPlay, but otherwise it works fine. Not sure if matters but the phone is an 11 Pro. Quite frankly, I was shocked because Sync 3 has never played well with Apple in my car.

Maybe it’s because the Fiesta gets the bargain basement version of Sync3. Or possibly because I have mine “jail broken” more or less with Forscan. All I know is I’ve got a Ford where CarPlay still works.

So after a little thought, there’s a pile of anomalies in my car, but I still don’t see how they’d affect CarPlay working. I still think it’s because I have the stripped down version of Sync3. I’ve only changed the software to make it think I have a Focus St instead of a Fiesta St. That shouldn’t matter. When CarPlay first came available, my car also needed a hardware change to the USB port. The Ford version was back ordered so I put the Lincoln one in. As far as I know, the only difference was the backlight color. I’m far better with understanding cars than Apple software, so I can’t really think of any more info to offer as to why it works on my Ford.

It’s less complicated than it sounds. I only changed the start up screen, which was already preloaded in all the factory units. It just required some extra software on my laptop to make it permanent. There was zero change in the operating system. And regarding the Lincoln vs Ford USB port, the only known difference is white LED’s vs. blue. I was just being honest and rattling off possible differences, but they really should not have any effect.

Hope they fix the yellowish screen, green tint, flickering, and raised black issues of the iPhone 12 line up on this update. 😩

Anybody managed to find a workaround for the CarPlay issue? Strangely for me, it was working fine for me in my Ford Puma 2020 until today, today it has just stopped working and it won't come back.

Mine using wireless carplay (Carlinkit) is working in my Volvo but I have lost the in dash display and the ability to accept and end a call from the steering wheel. Most annoying.

Yellowish screen will not be fixed as this how phone is supposed to be. I purchased and returned around 8/9 phones for this reason and all were exactly the same. I didn’t liked it but got used to it after some time.
