Apparently I’m unable to activate the new unlock with Apple feature?? iPhone 12 on 14.5 beta and my watch 3 is on 7.3 beta. So normally it should work? No?

I just realised (don’t know if j build was the same as k build) that the option to select type or device in Bluetooth is missing. Even after forgetting the device and re-pairing.

I have upgraded to the public beta on both my iPhone and my Apple Watch. now when I tried switching this feature on I get this error message saying: Cant communicate with your Apple Watch, try again. Ive restarted my devices multiple times and tried some other workarounds but still nothing so far. does anyone have an idea what's wrong ?

This seems to be an issue with the beta (though not sure which beta: iOS or WatchOS). I think the best thing for you to do is to report the issue and then simply wait for the next beta release, where hopefully Apple will have resolved the issue.

Rest assured: Apple has not stopped support for your particular model of Apple Watch, contrary to the screeching of some on this forum.

Anybody managed to find a workaround for the CarPlay issue? Strangely for me, it was working fine for me in my Ford Puma 2020 until today, today it has just stopped working and it won't come back.

Battery has been terrible. It’s 10am now Up at 5am. Was at 100% at 5am. Down to 40% already. Last couple of days was noticing this. Minimal web surfing and some YouTube.

Nobody said it was about turning off the passcode. It's about unlocking via the iPhone, it's been possible for a long long time.
Ah, you're right, my bad.

I actually didn't know about the setting in the Watch app to unlock Watch by unlocking iPhone. I'm happy to know this now. Sorry for the ignorant remark earlier.

No need to be sorry man, we're all here to learn stuff !

Actually I'm not even sure this was an option in the Settings, before. I know it worked but I don't remember if there was an option to turn on for it to works. More experienced people could confirm or not...

I’m pretty sure it has been in settings since the beginning. I do recall that you could opt out of this.

Since the release of this beta on Mon and even with the re-release. Optimised battery charging has stopped working for me.

Nothing has changed. Phone goes onto the duo charger at 2200 and comes off at 0600 every day. Yet suddenly it’s just stopped working.

Was working fine prior to this release. Going to give it another couple of days and then will reset privacy and location to see if that helps it.

Anyone else have the same issue with optimised charging on iPhone 12PM? I’ve submitted feedback.

Mine did the same, however it worked after both devices were rebooted. Strangely my watch showed no cellular plan briefly but did come back as well.

Typing “RIP” used to trigger the gravestone emoji suggestion (🪦), but now it doesn’t work for me.

Not sure if it’s because I’m on 14.5 or what. Can anyone confirm that it still works?
