iOS 14.5 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

The OneDrive app, Outlook, and Files app have no issues with my business account... it is just the separate apps like Word.

You updated to the new version of Beta 1? That fixed it for people on this thread, from what I read.
 
In the App Library, does anyone’s “Recently Added” folder show more than 8 apps?
 
Has the force app close then white app appearing error disappeared with this update? Thanks
 
In other words, every app I have that isn’t Apple/default is actually showing up in there. Never has before, sometimes it wouldn’t even show apps that I JUST finished downloading.

I guess every screen was calibrated that way. It bothers me sometimes that it affects the colors of the photos.
Sometimes I just turn on the night shift for an hour or two then trick my eyes to make the screen look whiter when I turn it off haha! It works though 😂.

Probably a dumb question on this, but have all of you seeing this issue tried turning off True Tone in the Display Settings? That seems to shift my screen back to a bluer tint in many lighting situations.

Yes I did. The problem I am having is not with corporate managed Microsoft 365, just the business OneDrive not working correctly.

Yup! I love TT on my iPhone 11, but I don’t use it on my 12. True tone on iPhone 12 line up makes the screen extremely warm/yellow.

According to hdtvtest, a trusted expert guy, the screen is correctly calibrated this year, very close to D65... who knows... Anyway, i got used to it and now doesn’t notice the warm tint, even with True Tone, which i use all the time.

While that may be entirely accurate, in comparison with my monitors, pc laptop, MB, Ipad Pro, the 12 ProMax screen looks yellow to my eye. This is especially confusing when taking photos.

Here is a shot taken with the 11 ProMax of the 12PM and IPP11 both with it turned on.

Guys, ever since I've come to Big Sur, photos sent from my Mac show up only as empty speech bubbles on iOS devices. Any solution to this?
 
Does the Apple Music EQ work for anyone? Mine doesn't work. I've tried two separate headphones/earbuds (APP and Beats Studio 3).
 
Is anyone else seeing WiFi issues with a 12 Pro Max where it just disconnects randomly and the only way to restore is restart the phone? Had this happen twice in two days… just submitted a feedback report.

Oh yes, totally agree, but what i wrote is what i heard, that is more accurate to d65. I also see it yellowish when comparing to iPhone X, iPad Pro 2020, MacBook Pro etc

Here is another item that has been bugging me since the start of the 14.x betas. It comes and goes.

I was watching the news. Closed the app. Locked the screen of my IPP 11.

As I was walking away, I heard this:

I don’t own the song nor is it on my device. I have not even activated Music for this iCloud account or device.
So why the heck is it playing?

I had this on iOS 14.4 sometimes when taking out my AirPods and putting them away. It would trigger the iPad start playing some random music of my library. Haven't seen it on 14.5 beta 1 so far.

What do you see when you open the Music app? Does it play there? Then you should see where it comes from.
 
When selecting the now playing music from the control centre there used to be a list of previously played music (8 tracks IIRC) now there is only either the last played track or “not playing” if you have closed the music app down. I hope this is a bug as I liked the feature and it was easy to switch selection around.
 
Here’s a fun one. Listening to a track on Apple Music with APP and I switched over from Safari to Music to share the track with the wife and AM stopped the current song and started playing the first alphabetical track on that playlist but the track information/progress from the previous song still showed.

Tapping pause did nothing for the track playing and I had to disconnect and reconnect the APP to get back to the original music. Now that I’m typing this out I’m wondering if the APP somehow switched over to my watch and that was why info didn’t match and controls didn’t work.
