so this watch/face id unlock only work for unlocking the phone, not faceid for authenticating in apps.. I hope they add that too.
Sorry but that is a terrible idea. This would allow a thief to just swipe your phone off the table and immediately unlock it before they run off.wish you could unlock iPhone on a desk with watch when it can't see face, it works with a mask but it should unlock anyways
I wonder if this is an API given to developers in the beta.so this watch/face id unlock only work for unlocking the phone, not faceid for authenticating in apps.. I hope they add that too.
Disabling HTTP/3 (with all other experimental features enabled except for the four that start with Disable) resolves all of my Safari rendering issues - tested against 20 or so pages, half of which were broken with HTTP/3 enabled.I went through and disabled a bunch of the experimental features and get it to work.
going to go back and re-enable them one by one to figure out which one is broken when I have time later tonight.
so a thief wears a mask and unlocks itSorry but that is a terrible idea. This would allow a thief to just swipe your phone off the table and immediately unlock it before they run off.
Your worried about touching your phone and you’ve just typed this how? A keyboard, how is that different from a phone?I still can’t believe that Apple is unable or unwilling to change FaceId in such a way that you don’t need to touch your phone to unlock it.
So now I need to buy a watch to be able to do that. A 1000 Dollar device that is not protecting my health and makes me touch the Surface also to unlock my phone.
Its not aceptable in pandemic times.
How?!!Sorry but that is a terrible idea. This would allow a thief to just swipe your phone off the table and immediately unlock it before they run off.
Yep, and a number of other apps (not just the managed Microsoft ones). Most apps that are crashing appear to be doing so as soon as they attempt network access. Seeing the same thing happen with Apollo, Mint, Discord, UniFi Network and UniFi Protect, Swarm, Nextdoor, among other things.Anyone else having issues with opening the PlayStation app?
I guess for those of us who wear our wrist on the left arm but have right hand drive vehicles, using the phone is easier than the arm!One time a guy came through the drive thru back when I worked at McDonald’s, and this actually happened to him with his NEW phone. 😬 If I remember right, it was okay, but we were all like “Oh no!” when it happened.

I’ll add to this… for anyone having the issue of various apps crashing on start (other than the managed Microsoft apps or similar), also make sure HTTP/3 is disabled in Settings -> Developer. If you don’t have the Developer menu enabled, you need to hook your phone up to a Mac with the new Xcode beta open and running.Disabling HTTP/3 (with all other experimental features enabled except for the four that start with Disable) resolves all of my Safari rendering issues - tested against 20 or so pages, half of which were broken with HTTP/3 enabled.
I just tested it on mine. I got it to unlock several times when my face was not in frame. Also got it to unlock while I was wearing a mask and had the entire top half of my face covered with my hands. For me this seems to work just like the Android unlock with bluetooth feature.wish you could unlock iPhone on a desk with watch when it can't see face, it works with a mask but it should unlock anyways
Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I have the same behavior for Outlook and Teams which are both for my work.
That worked for me too! Thanks!Disabling HTTP/3 (with all other experimental features enabled except for the four that start with Disable) resolves all of my Safari rendering issues - tested against 20 or so pages, half of which were broken with HTTP/3 enabled.

I had that after the initial update, but opened Watch , saw the “watch has been updated “ message an then tried again…. It then worked fine afterI can’t enable the unlock with apple watch feature. I get a spinning wheel and it says “unable to communicate with Apple Watch.”
