Anyone feel like Face ID has changed? Maybe its because I reset my phone and its still learning, but it asks me for my passcode a lot, I have to have the phone around minimum 10 inches away for it to work, never had an issue previously but its almost with every Face ID authentication it asks for passcode.
Mine has been a little funky on this beta. Nothing major, but a bit slower and definitely more re-tries than normal.

Haven’t downloaded the beta myself, but assume the Podcast now playing screen is still the card view instead of the full screen view like Apple Music?

Was hoping they might’ve aligned these with the updates they made to the podcast app.

Yeah! I can see the rabbit hole this can potentially become. I have so far just added a Make GIF shortcut to my share sheet. This will help me make GIFs out of my videos. Nifty.

I’m looking for more such shortcuts that help usability.

Check out the Gallery tab in the Shortcuts app. Some good ones there that can give you ideas. There’s a good subreddit for shortcuts also that has lots of activity with examples available. Just be careful downloading those until you are sure they are legit.

Yes. It is bad, especially in darker settings. Constanty asking for passcode. VERY annoying

For the first time when I updated to 14.5 beta 1 I was able to do so over cellular and I was delighted. Tried this again on beta 2 and had to use WiFi. I think I read on this forum in the posts that some were able to update over cellular but I could never get it to work. What are others experiencing?

I am having an issue whereby after a day or somof usage..the greys on my screen lool extremely light greyish..a reboot solves this issue..

It seems to have fixed itself after a few hours. Must be some insane background processing to have effected audio that way, never before in my iPhone ownership did this happen. I'm happy it resolved itself, I would have had to downgrade otherwise since that stutter meant that I could not listen to music without getting riled up!

On another note, anyone, kindly help me locate the two shortcut actions mentioned - take screenshot and the other one. I am unable to locate them in my Shortcuts app. Gallery search does not help either.

This beta did resolve the audio stutter for me, so I'm happy.

Do you guys with FaceID problems have the new watch unlock thing turned on? Wonder if that introduces some bugginess.

I’ll be honest 14.5 B2 fixed all my issues i had since iOS 14 came out. Android phones are now green like they should be not blue, txt contact screen doesn’t crash, battery like amazing, no stutter idk what to say I have iPhone 10 xs max and I feel like I’m on completely new device/planet. I used to have all this strange crap I had to work around to make it work. Like if I had to txt someone I couldn’t do from contact phone list course it wooluld crash, I had open txt message search for name and android name would be blue to first txt would fail right! So had to copy and and try same till txt for android went green and paste my txt and send it. Now it works like it should.

And other odds and ends I had issues since iOS 14.0 day one, now mine you I been on dev iOS for 3/4 years never reset never did a fresh start I just update over old OD.

This iOS 14.5 B2 fixed all my glitches it’s like it’s wiped my phone did crash install and import my data lol.

I soooooo happy I feel like throwing a iOS 14.5 party tonight with ho…….kers and you know what else hahahaha that’s how happy I am

Doing that changes colours and reduces brightness on your display, I've gotten use to my display. 😊
I’m a graphic designer by day, so have a trained eye in colour. It’s honestly a very slight tweak to the colour of the screen, cooling it, but reduces the yellow enough for it not to be noticeable anymore. Doesn’t effect anything to do with the brightness 👍🏼

This may be a silly question, but can you downgrade from ios 14.5 beta 2 to beta 1? Beta 1 just seemed to run smoother for me.

Just to say it, I haven’t tried before touching the serial number of AirPods Pro (in my case) and get not only the general AirPods serial but the one of each AirPod if you click more than once, I think it was there before, but never notice.
😉

Apple discontinued the ATV standalone remote app a while ago since it's part of iOS so there's a chance it may never start working again.
Last time I checked the ATV remote built into control center did not support the ATV3. Has that changed?

I've definitely noticed a change in sending text messages with SIRI in Beta 14.5.
I've alway's said to SIRI 'send a new message to xxx contact' which always worked. Now I get a sorry I can't do that error. I have to say 'send a new text message to xxx contact'. Same behavior with beta 1 & 2. Not sure anyone else has noticed this.
