Installed this one yesterday and during the night Exposure Notification has gone rampant on my phone. After installing it on my iPhone 12 Pro Max my battery dropped from 87% to 27%. I installed it around 18:30 CET and when waking up at 07:30 CET I had lost 60% battery and it claims Exposure Notification was to blame for over 70% of the battery drain.

Digging through the battery statistics it claims that Exposure Notification was to blame for 100% of the battery drains at several points during the night. This is far more excessive than normal.

I'm not sure how to read these statistics. Obviously when checking specific hours during the night my phone is not in use so if there is nothing else going on during the hours I'm checking and nothing on my phone is draining battery at all while Exposure Notification is draining just a tiny bit it will still be the cause of 100% of the battery drain during that specific time frame. So 100% can look far worse than it turely is.

But my phone doesn't tend to drain 60% from 18:30 CET to 07:30 CET. I didn't even use my phone during the evening, it was just used for the updating and nothing else as I was busy working on my computer without using the phone at all. Something seems to make my Exposure Notification go rampant since the latest update.

If I check for the past 24 hours Exposure Notification is at 46% and considering it's averaging at about 70% after the update and it was 13 hours from me updating before I noticed the severe battery drain this morning it means that my 24 hour average on Exposure Notification would normally be much lower over 24 hours than it currently is as a result of the average of 70% the past 13 hours is also skewing the 24 hour average quite a bit.

Is anyone else noticing Exposure Notification going rampant on their device?

Do you have micro stuttering when opening apps? it's intermittent issue in my iPhone XS Max and iPhone 12 Pro max.

frames drop time to time in videos.
Haven’t noticed it myself, google has been pushing out a lot of YouTube updates recently, maybe something is wrong on their end.

Just a heads up for someone thinking Apple “finally” allow users to install security updates without iOS update, these are currently the only available 3 states of those two toggles. It’s beta so the effect remains to be seen, but my suspicion is Apple still DOES NOT want users to stay on a particular version of iOS for too long.

Please excuse my complete technical ignorance, but would the modem update effect or maybe fix the continuing Wi-Fi drop out problems on a lot of iPhone 12's?

I'm that bad at these things. I'm not sure if the modem is even anything to do with the Wi-Fi! :D

Personally so far beta 4 has been a step up for me. It seems much more polished. Most animations are smooth all the time. The phone feels fast without occasional glitches like I’ve seen with previous betas. My green tint appears to be resolved however raised blacks are still there in limited situations. (Neither we’re fixed for me in previous betas) And although it’s still early, my call quality and stability has been much improved. Its been spotty in previous betas for me. Overall this feels like a good candidate for a stable release.

Wondering the same. How many of you running 14.5 beta are also running beta watch os? Stable enough to start using ?

i usually jump on the summer iOS beta train but have been weary of getting on the Watch OS beta due to obvious bricking issues.

Ya iOS betas don’t scare me but the watch os has bit me in the rear a few times. Then your stuck making a appointment and waiting for it to be shipped out downgraded and shipped back to you.

This is the first beta in as long as I can remember where I've had a bug that seriously affects my day-to-day usage but my use case is probably pretty unique (controlling my home lighting with the Alexa app).

Is anybody else having this issue?

If you click on "Show Activity" it will change to HH:MM of actual use. That helps me when I run into the "% makes little sense" issue.

No, I am not seeing the issue you are with EN.

T-mobile LTE/5G reboots 5-10 times per day. It comes to no service -> searching -> and back to 5G.
I live in well covered area. I have such a problem since beta 3.
I have more problems while driving.

Got a feeling a event might not happen this month, can’t see apple holding a event for iPads, air tags and Apple TV. 🤔

Hope I’m wrong though.
I think you left out new M1 Macs of some flavor. And if the iPads are a significant redesign/upgrade, they will hold the event.

Please, submit feedback so they stop defaulting “learn from this app” siri feature. They’re deliberately collecting your data and how you use these apps. Not to mention the security flaws... couldn’t even get a magsafe animation right...
