So do we think that the security fixes which arrived with 14.5.1 yesterday were included in the Friday night beta for developers & Apple to check out? Or are we vulnerable until the next beta?

I believe that it is the former of your question.

Spent some time looking at battery life for the 12 ProMax - beta 1 vs beta 2

I will definitively say that beta 2 is worse - for me.
Under beta 1 I was getting 5-6 hours of screen time with 40%-50% battery left. Not bad.
Under beta 2 I am seeing 5-6 hours of screen time with 30% or less battery left.

On the flip side I am not seeing much difference with my IPP 11 2020.

Anybody else having charging problems? My x is right now sitting on 18% of battery while plugged in. Everything just worked fine on 14.5.1. I will try another adapter and if it doesn’t help, I will roll back to 14.5.1.

Okay, tried the 35w iPad charger and managed to get the charge up to 27% while screen off. Before using iPad charger, I cleaned the lightning port with a toothpick, did not see anything coming out of it but now it is charging again also with the iPhone original charger. Strange my lightning port was just cleaned yesterday in warranty service. Had my battery replaced and the phone went crazy, unable to detect battery health and charge level at some times and restarting, thanks to dust in the charging port according to the warranty tech, but somehow I am not believing it. :)

Welp, today’s Instagram app update seems to have broken Instagram link previews in 14.6, but they’re working fine in 14.5

I was at the store 10 minutes ago and it turns out that this beta messed up unlock with Apple Watch for X. I submitted feedback. Is this feature working okey for others?

Ive sacked it off for now. Very temperamental on my 12 and series 5 watch. More hassle than it’s worth to be honest. If my mask covered my nose it worked. If it was just under my nose as I wear glasses so get steamed up, it wouldn’t work.

I just pull my mask down for that split second now. I’ll be releasing this in beta 3 😆

Apple promises a lot with the newest iPhone every year, and the same **** with battery performance every year

no complaints with B1 or B2 on my 12. 50% battery gets me 6-7hrs on screen. Charge over night.

I only have youtube and mail notifications on though. And screen brightness at 50%.

My cellular service hasn’t been as good with beta 2 vs beta 1 and 14.5. Longer data load times, more static on phone calls and 1 dropped call. Verizon. This is after a network reset as well.

I can confirm that the issue where iOS is disabling Call Blocking and Identification.
Happened on update and just now I went into my 12PM and was disabled and removed from Settings.

I have been having some minor issues with my 12PM however my other half and son, both with Galaxy’s are having similar issues. I suspect it is my carrier: AT&T.

Now call issues with my AirPods Pro … ugh.

It’s been designed so that it will only work if your mouth and nose are covered with a mask. As you have stated you wear your mask under your nose (which defects the whole purpose of wearing a mask) the watch won’t unlock your phone.

I know how to wear a mask. I said IF.
(don’t give up the day job bro) 👏🏼

AirPods Pro are a mess now. Random disconnects during calls. Unusable presently.

Ah, the Beta Life!

So I've never had the Call Blocking and Identification section go missing in Settings-->Phone. What does happen is that my call blocking app is not shown in there after reboot or force-close the Settings app and then have to re-enable the call blocking app 1 or 2 times before they appear again.
