GEEKBENCH: iPhone 12.

22nd April entry was the official build of 14.5 as a comparison for the 14.6 RC at the top.

Multicore looks out of control to finish and single core gets a little tune up.

First issue I’ve run into is Apple car play music app won’t launch. I can go into the phone and select the music to play that way but when I try to open it in car play it crashes right away
Here's what I'm seeing in the crash logs:

Thread 11 name: Dispatch queue: com.apple.Music.ProminentRadioStationController.accessQueue
Thread 11 Crashed:
So, looks like it's something related to Apple Music radio stations — even though I never actually listen to those. 😛 Maybe it's something that can be fixed server-side?

ADDENDUM: I was able to get the Music app working by disabling cellular data access (Settings -> Music -> Cellular Data: Off) — that seems to keep the app from downloading whatever radio station data is causing the app to crash, at least for me.

It appears to be a server side issue as I’ve just had a call from my wife who is on 14.5.1 and Apple Music has crashed on her CarPlay too.

CarPlay’s Music app crashing when starting here too…
Turning off Cellular Data made no difference for me.
Hopefully just server side, as mentioned above

Same issue here. Tried restarting the car system, restarting the iPhone, removing the music app and installing again - still having the issue. Strange!

This results in you not being able to stream at all though right?

After upgrading to 14.6 RC, Music is entirely unusable. If you touch the icon on the left, it immediately switches back to dashboard view and music will stop after only a second or two. Pressing play on dashboard view does nothing.

The only way to play music is to start it on the phone, defeating the purpose of CarPlay. If you do this, it works until you try to switch to Music from the dashboard view.

Has anyone had trouble with their AirPods playing audio after connection?

I had a Teams meeting this morning and even with it set to output to my
AirPods Pro, they were silent… until about 5 minutes in when suddenly my phone kicked from speakerphone to the AirPods Pro.
