CarPlay
Just tried my wife’s 11 Pro on 14.5.1 and it worked fine.
Tried my 12 Pro on 14.6 RC immediately after, and it was working with full functionality again! Drove back home about an hour ago and it was definitely not working then…
Fixed for anyone else?

Just tested myself with cellular data turned back on — launched and worked normally. Seems fixed!

Can someone try to replicate this? Not sure if it is an issue (new).

12ProMax - playing music and listening on Air Pods Pro.

Placed 12PM on Anker Charging Stand and the music paused. If I press play it comes out of the 12PM speakers. Problem is my Air Pods Pro automatically disconnected.

I have not tried this during the 14.6 betas so am unsure if this is new.

Let me know - thx!

Worse for me on 14.6 betas, including this RC. Lost 10% of charge driving home from work and using Waze on CarPlay. Might update with IPSW to see if it makes a difference.
What loss would you see on your way home prior to 14.6 if you don’t mind me asking? No matter what version of iOS one in running. GPS will use quite a bit of power. Also, are you using CarPlay over lightning, or BT?

Well, looks like I was wrong on it being a possible server issue (apologies to those who mentioned that), on my drive home music is working the way it should be. No crashes or other issues. Glad it got sorted out quickly enough.

How’s the battery life on this RC? Battery life on my 11 Pro Max has been horrendous since 14.5.

@s2mike woke up this morning and had a thought, what if you got your phone onto an official build, 14.6, and went to the apple store. I’ve always be chilled and quite detailed with my explanations on things that have gone wrong. Shown I care and tried to find a solution. Then poured over all that how long I’ve had apple products in my life and I’m a little disappointed… normally, I’ve had a handset replaced, software or hardware if the phone been in great condition and under the 12 months or they have asked me to pay £90.

maybe a new phone will sort out the message bar glitch.

The Messages bar glitch doesn’t bother me.

The calibration feature the 11s got didn’t help battery life then?

you’ve got nothing to lose getting on the RC. If anything a final build should stabilise your batteries performance. and you’ll see better results, “possibly”

Not sure why you think you were wrong. Appears to have affected users both on 14.6 and those on other versions.
