Well if their this far behind… 🤔🙄

(I don’t have notifications on for the reporting app so just checked it and saw this.)

At least 6 months later they got back to me though right. That’s the take away 🥴

Hopefully iOS 15 is a big improvement for everyone, the sooner we can leave iOS 14 behind the better, seems like apple really crapped the bed after 14.4.

Get them British pounds ready, new m1x MacBook next week 😜

It’ll come with a green tint, just to be in keeping with your other devices

seriously though, I’m confident it’s hardware issue for you. Not seen anyone else say in these beta threads about green tint.

Yeah same thoughts. I would just replace the device and save my nerves. Probably just a display from a bad patch from factory.

New items ….
12 ProMax

Have run into a few apps when being used for > a few minutes, the area around the volume switches starts to get hot. Not warm, hot. Close the app and it cools down in a few minutes. Did not see this with beta 1 or 14.6 RC.

First noticed when I was going through headlines on Gawk. Other apps that cause this Lightroom and Spectrum News.

Right now, this is just an educated guess but apple had a problem with 14.5.1 where the system was throttling. Were as I don't have proof, more than likely, the slowness was directly linked to the CPU not running at the peak frequency. I am going to assume here that maybe when apple "Fixed" the performance bug, there are still problems with the CPUs frequency step system. It might be ramping up more than it should.

If so, that would be a direct reason for both the heat, and the decreased battery performance that so many users have been complaining about since 14.5+.

Fingers crossed that if not sooner, that iOS 15 will put an end to this crap! haha

That is not acceptable if your iDevice is not going to be supported by iOS 15. I have an SE that I use as backup and on which I check out new betas. On 14.7 betas it’s currently running hot with short life despite a recent battery replacement. Not a good time to be abandoned by Apple.

I totally agree with you and that really sucks if the SE is going to be stuck on iOS 14.X. Hopefully 14.7 final solves it. I am just not sure what to think, this issue has been ongoing for more than 2 months now...

What do you expect… it’s BETA, its not going to run without issues lol…

I think the concern is that for some, the battery plague started with 14.5 and has not let up yet. True that beta software is bound to have issues but to see that at least 3 production builds are having this issue with no end in sight can be nervous for anyone relying on older models.

Could be as my battery performance has been all over the place starting around RC.
Unless the bloody graph is busted.

Anyone else having incorrect podcast length shown for an episode? This only started happening in 14.7.

Anyone having an issue typing in the spotlight search using the new apple keyboard on beta 2? I can swipe down or press command space and get the search, but nothing I type is entered. I can type in every other app.

Mine shows like this, which I’ve never noticed before. I like the progress bar. I had one show up like yours but found out it was because there were only a few seconds left in the episode. I had listened to almost the whole thing before going to the next one, probably to skip the ending ads.
