I have two questions:
- How was it in the past years? Public and developer beta on same day?

- Is it possible to delete the developer profile and download the public one for the public betas or should I stay at the developer one?
Typically, Apple releases the public beta coinciding with and 2 days later than the release of the second developer beta (or Developer Preview). The build released for the public beta is almost invariably the exact same build as the Developer Beta. Typically, the Developer Beta is released on a Tuesday and the corresponding public beta is released on a Thursday.

As we get further along in the process (say Developer Beta 5/Public beta 4), Apple may start releasing the public beta the same day as the developer beta, but typically 3 hours later.

As to your second question, unless you want to get off the Developer beta now (before the public beta is released), there is really no reason to switch. The beta software you will receive will be exactly the same, regardless of which profile you have. The only difference will be when you receive it.

Had a weird bug I had when I was resetting my phone. It asked me if I wanted to backup, and I agreed. But when it was nearly done it kept saying it failed and to check Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi was fine. Tried a few more times, and it kept failing. But if I went to backup in settings, it backed up fine.

iOS 14 continues to be a step up from iOS 13 for me.

I've noticed the overall speed using the Messages app is vastly improved. The GIF keyboard library loads instantaneously, the search is way faster and my selections insert automatically whereas before there was a brief loading period. I haven't even tinkered with all of the new features included but the fact that all those new bells and whistles were added and performance has improved is astounding after the year we just had.

I also had an issue with my Apple Music Library being hung up after restoring from a backup to remove my latest jailbreak. Now that I'm on 14, everything is working as it should and Music is looking better than ever.

So happy. With everything going on outside, it's nice to have something going right.

Just found that if you swipe up on an active FaceTime (video) call, it puts the other person’s video into picture in picture mode instead of “pausing” the video like it used to do. 👍🏾

sorry if I’m late and someone else already mentioned this.

I put this one my 11pro yesterday. I gotta say so far the email app is working as it should. It was taking approx 5-8 seconds to load my emails when launching the app on iOS 13, but so far they appear instantly in the mail app on iOS 14. Fingers crossed it continues.

Great feature though.

That seems logical to me. Why would the system notify you of something that happened previously? By turning on the notifications, you are telling the system "I want to be notified of any new [mail/text/phone call/VM message/whatever] that come in to my device." The "new [item] arrived" ship has sailed once the even occurs.
Fine by the logic.
But it used to happen differently in iOS 13 and earlier. When the toggle was done back to "ON", it brought back all the earlier event notifications.
On iOS 14, I don't know if they are doing this by design or is just a interim bug.

When I delete SMS message on MacBook, it does not delete it on the iPhone.
Both devices use same iCloud id and message forwarding to MacBook is enabled on the iPhone.
Anyone else?

Spoke too soon. Email is lame again. Notification comes in on lock screen and then when you open the app it takes 5+ seconds to refresh and show the email. Ugh.

IPP 11 G2
Photos
Was in photos looking at (zooming) into a couple - comparing Pro Max vs Note 10.
in both cases, when I got to the 3rd or 4th photo, the Photo app crashed.
Definitely repeatable.

Seeing the same on my IPP.
Starts okay and downgrades from there :(

View attachment 927734Low Air Quality- sounds bad but I suspect it’s actually good. UI needs improving.

Doesn’t correlate with this either

Yes, on closer look, you're right. The whole scale is way off!

Is the iOS 14 beta much more stable, or what? I’m seeing way less complaining this year. People are being nice to one another and admitting when they’re wrong?! Is iOS 14 going to bring world peace when it’s release in the fall? :p

But seriously, keep up the great discussions, and I’m glad to see a kinder tone on these forums. It’s a nice change.

I think many of us are seriously burned out by iOS 13 and the Apple cold shoulder we received during the 13 beta

Siri has been progressively worse day by day on my SE2020. She can barely do anything and has become somewhat hearing impaired. Funny it’s been a progressive issue as she was great right after the install of ios14. Now it’s constantly “sorry, there is something wrong”. Checked and rechecked all settings related to Siri. Nothing changed. Was waiting to see if any improvement after a hard reset but just getting worse. Just sent in a detailed bug report. This has been my only issue really. Never realized how much I counted on Siri for certain things. Anyone else having Siri issues?

Well this is new

Found a couple of apps that don't work right.

One occasion of XS Max just turning off and wouldn't turn on again. Wouldn't start until plugged in, through the extended battery.
