I might mention I’m on the SE 2020. Don’t know if that makes any difference, lots of different models out there

The Mail App on my iPad keeps looking like this randomly.

I’m not new to beta testing either and I think a lot of people new to betas or not are asking questions about certain app problems they are having to see if anyone else is having the same issues. Not a complaining or perfection disappointment issue per se but more of a gathering info attempt. If I have a certain issue I’d be curious to see some input from others about their possible same issues, then file a bug report as needed. Some things can be fixed with simple hard resets.
Having said that I must say I have found hardly anything wrong and have fixed my weather widget by gleaning info from someone asking about theirs. So no bug report needed for that.
This beta is very good quality as betas go.
Know that you may be getting into some issues, ask questions on the forum as that is what forums are good for then file bug reports as needed and enjoy the new UI. :)
Yea there's things that nearly everyone has a bug with, to things that barely affect anyone and are cleared by restarts like you mentioned. I had a weird message when I woke up on day two about a Cellular Update failing and had no service, but it was gone with restart and didn't return. No one else mentioned they also had the same issue.

I’m on Verizon and did not have that cellular update at all unless it was totally stealth ;)

When I woke up and checked my phone the message was there. Wasn't anything prompting me to install anything, so yea, most likely stealth.

anyone have any issues with your apple watch not vibrating for phone calls when someone calls on this beta? I have the latest public release on my apple watch and ios 14 beta on my iphone 11 pro...any ideas?

Understood... but remember when you were new to this? I've been running iOS betas for over 10 years... and every year we get the "the sky is falling, this is crap" threads from those who expect perfection out of beta 1 ... Some people who install betas are actual developers (for whom the developer beta program is intended - go figure), some are thrill seekers (many of whom install beta 1 on their daily driver and live on the edge throughout the entire beta ride) and many are just curious.

I am of the the opinion that n00bs should not be skewered because they express concern about what they are experiencing. Education is better than holding them up for public ridicule.

I agree in part and disagree in part.

I agree that we should do our part here to reduce the general toxicity that is social media these days. Ripping someone a new one for complaining or asking for help is simply not useful.

However, I do not agree that users who are clearly new to this and complain about the betas or fill the threads with questions they certainly should know the answers to if they intend to run a beta should not be ignored or gently chastised. As pointed out, the current beta is reserved for paid Apple developers and select invitees. I know that there are a million ways to get a profile and that many here are using bootlegged profiles to obtain the betas. But Apple has a reason for officially limiting the first beta to developers: they’re usually pretty rough and not feature complete. In short: you’d better know how to back out if you get into trouble. Apple makes this very clear (never more so than last year when they advised “thrill seekers” not to install Developer Preview 1). Turns out, the warning was for good reason. iOS 13 was rough from DP 1 to 13.5!

Bottom line: if you are technically trespassing where you don’t belong, it’s usually bad manners to criticize your host’s house.

Anyone experiencing random reboots?

My 11 Pro Max sometimes reboots with no apparent reason.

Only notice after making cleaning content and definitions because very low space after upgrade from iOS 13.

I have installed iOS 14 on my 8Plus and the "You can now tap the BACK of your iphone" function is not there for me. I have no option to chose it. Is this feature only available on the 11 series

Low Air Quality- sounds bad but I suspect it’s actually good. UI needs improving.

Doesn’t correlate with this either

I have an 11 pro 64G with 20G available. I have read about the memory deal......will I have enough to get on the Beta?

It appears that they're following DEFRA's terminology/rating system?

Edit: submit a suggestion to have them change "Air Quality" to "Air Pollution Banding" to match DEFRA
See my edit where I also point out it doesn’t match - the number, position on chart and colour. Will of course report to Apple but people like to discuss issues here too :)

Yes, on closer look, you're right. The whole scale is way off!

Messages

I have my Messages forwarded from my Pro Max to my IPP allowing me to read and answer via my IPP.
On 14, I am finding the notification that the Message has been read is not transferring to my Pro Max if I initially read it on my iPad. Reading it on my Pro Max first does transfer to my iPad. This appears to be strictly an IPP > PM issue.
