Nope. Started a new group with at least 1 non-iMessage user. Just says "New Group MMS".... Cancel at the top. Can't tap the name.

Any group texts that include a non-iPhone user (i.e. Android) will be Group MMS 100% of the time. Will never be sent as Group SMS, even if it's text-only.

Would be nice to be able to re-name a thread / group conversation, though it would have to be local to your own iPhone only if we're talking about Group MMS.

오빠 <3

Small touch, but just noticed. This is helpful for anyone confused about the dots.

Last yr I when Catalina and 13 beta was released I made a feedback that Keychain update on my mac doesn’t sync with my iPhone. Yesterday they replied to that feedback if the issue is still persistent. Like.... it’s been over a year... ??? 😂

I clicked update/download an app through App Store, then my iPhone XS Max got freeze and reboot! Some features make my iPhone XS Max got freeze and reboot! It running iOS 14 developer beta 1.

Having some issues. I added a widget to my screen and it blew away all my nested folders and now i can't find the apps unless i search. The other issues I am having is at the bottom fav. I am trying to re add mail to the bottom tray and it won't work. it lets me pull it in but then it just bounces it back to the screen. So now i only have 3 items in the tray will not let me add a 4th. Sorry if this has been posted about already. I have so many apps that when they get jumbled makes me mental cause i can't find anything :(

Seeing the same with 14.
Updates on my IPP (14) are not showing on my PM (13.5)

So in the far left where widgets still are. How come carrot weather shows there but not Dark Sky? And why can’t I remove carrot from there?

Most all apps are using the old widget system. So, you have to long press on a new widget in order to edit and then scroll down to bottom to the old edit.

Toggling iOS Settings > Notifications > Mail > Allow Notifications from “On” to “Off” and then back to “On” does not bring back the earlier existing mail notifications to the notification centre.

Only the notifications for mail received after the toggle cycle (for Allow Notifications elaborated above) appear on the notification centre. The notifications for previously received but unread mails do not reappear on the notification centre after the toggle cycle.

That seems logical to me. Why would the system notify you of something that happened previously? By turning on the notifications, you are telling the system "I want to be notified of any new [mail/text/phone call/VM message/whatever] that come in to my device." The "new [item] arrived" ship has sailed once the even occurs.

LOL it’s the same crap every year if they can’t handle bugs then they shouldn’t be running betas. I swear people do not know how software development works.

And I see that we're still welcoming them in with patience and understanding. SMH. This kind of snide response also happens every year. Maybe try explaining a few things to them and help them get up to speed ... rather than just breaking out the heavy artillery.

I’m not running the betas this year but I have helped a couple people already.

I was referring to the people who expect a beta to be absolutely perfect and complain when there’s some minor bugs.

Understood... but remember when you were new to this? I've been running iOS betas for over 10 years... and every year we get the "the sky is falling, this is crap" threads from those who expect perfection out of beta 1 ... Some people who install betas are actual developers (for whom the developer beta program is intended - go figure), some are thrill seekers (many of whom install beta 1 on their daily driver and live on the edge throughout the entire beta ride) and many are just curious.

I am of the the opinion that n00bs should not be skewered because they express concern about what they are experiencing. Education is better than holding them up for public ridicule.

I’m not new to beta testing either and I think a lot of people new to betas or not are asking questions about certain app problems they are having to see if anyone else is having the same issues. Not a complaining or perfection disappointment issue per se but more of a gathering info attempt. If I have a certain issue I’d be curious to see some input from others about their possible same issues, then file a bug report as needed. Some things can be fixed with simple hard resets.
Having said that I must say I have found hardly anything wrong and have fixed my weather widget by gleaning info from someone asking about theirs. So no bug report needed for that.
This beta is very good quality as betas go.
Know that you may be getting into some issues, ask questions on the forum as that is what forums are good for then file bug reports as needed and enjoy the new UI. :)
