Yeah, it's weird that it's not in the list with all the other options. I don't know why it's separated out; maybe due to the fact it can't be moved around.

Yeah I think that makes sense. Not really loving how much space it currently takes up but I have only just got my first smart plug, so maybe when I have more need for it it won't be as annoying.

Had the same problem with weather app and Cupertino showing up last night, but after about 20min the widget started showing the correct location again and for now there are no other problems. Battery life seem the same as it was in 13.5, no problems with the phone getting warm or anything like that. So far I’m very happy with the beta

I’m in the UK and have been using Dark Sky, without issue, for years.

At least 2 of my reported bugs are known (over 10). iPhone storage and freezes/slow.

I unintentionally goofed a bit. I for some reason though an iCloud backup made in iOS 13 would remains when I upgraded to 14 and 14 would make it’s own backup but it looks like the new
Backup overwrote my old one.

Don’t really think I’m going to revert back anyway but just wanted to confirm if I do want to I am out of luck with my old backup. Shoulda made a computer back up.

Always make the backup on your Mac and then archive it. That’s the only way to avoid overwriting it. I know it’s too late for you but perhaps others will see this.

I wrote my first widget today and it’s there are definitely some bugs, but it’s looking promising.

How was that experience? I watched the demo on the Platforms State of the Union talk and it looks fairly straightforward. Hoping so as I’d like to see a lot of adoption here by devs.

Another small change found. The menu that comes up when holding your trash/archive icon in mail is now smaller.

Do you happen to know if Dark Sky is finally working in Europe ?

As a weather app, it has always worked in Europe. Additional features such as weather alerts also work. The main missing feature was and still is the "magic" minute by minute precipitations chart, still limited to U.S. As stated in the iOS 14 features page:

Next-hour precipitation
View a minute‑by‑minute chart that shows the intensity of rain or snow over the coming hour. Available for the U.S.

Severe weather
The Weather app and widgets display government alerts about certain severe weather events including tornados, winter storms, flash floods, and more. Available for the U.S., Europe, Japan, Canada, and Australia.

Significant shifts
The Weather widget indicates when the weather will be much warmer, colder, or wetter in the next day.

Multi-day precipitation forecast
The multi-day weather forecast now includes the chance of precipitation for each day.

I was also able to change a group chat name for iMessage but not for another group that has an Android phone in it.

I was wondering if maybe creating a new group that includes SMS only before texting anyone, are you able to name the group then? I don’t wanna lose my message thread history for that one lol

Nope. Started a new group with at least 1 non-iMessage user. Just says "New Group MMS".... Cancel at the top. Can't tap the name.

I don’t see if this was added, but now in the weather app, you can look up a location and then add later, where before, you had to add a location just to look up somewhere new.

Probably because it’s a beta. I would imagine most if not all 3rd party apps will have to be updated for iOS 14 to varying degrees.

Anyone else having that random UI glitch in the mailbox side navigation in mail on iPad (landscape) where you don’t see the menu / u can move around the menu like it’s not in a fixed position, hard to explain. Basically you cannot just scroll up and down but also faaaaar into the right, therefore hiding the menu points

Yes. I have to go back to two panes to get scrolling to work.
Not sure if it is a bug or just the “new” for Mail.

I'm not sure about the Dark Sky widget, but in order to remove any of the older style widgets you have to go into "jiggle" mode and then scroll down to the bottom of the widget screen and tap 'Edit'.

Seeing the same. If it is all iOS it works. If you have Android in it I have been unable to change it.

I’m seeing even more space taken up by the “Other” section. I hard rebooted my iPhone 11 Pro Max a few hours ago and waited a bit to grab this screenshot. I know there’s log files and stuff being created and whatnot. I’m just remembering the early macOS 10.15 betas with the APFS snapshots taking up more and more space, I think because of Time Machine backups? I wonder what this could be in iOS?

This seems to be a common problem. It may be that the system is misreporting available space or that something is causing the excess usage. I'm guessing this disappears after DB1. Probably worth reporting.

No it doesn’t, although answering a call this morning ok my car I couldn’t hear the other person and they couldn’t hear me, we attempted the call several times including using the phone and the speaker all while still connected to the car and no luck

Ahh so you are saying when you answer the satnav app is still on the screen working normally and the call is in the background. That’s good, let’s hope they fix the silent audio.
