iOS 14 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I don’t see this bug listed on the wiki

Occurs when you have only have 1 main screen of icons
Go to edit screen mode
Go to the second page to the right (empty page)
Click on the 2 dots to view pages
Main screen enlarges all of the icons
Repeating continues to enlarge the main screen icons
Turning device off and back on fixes the size back to normal

Reporting via feedback app now

I don’t think that’s it. In either event though we should not have to guess. If this is a Dark Sky feature does anyone here who uses that app know?

if you are showing be thumbnails of each of my app pages and letting me hide each,you should also let me rearrange their order. That doesn’t run contrary to what you say the concept is.

Here you go. Bottom third is light rain, middle third is medium rain and top third is heavy rain.

Phone is unusable when trying to add a weather widget and updating the location. The widget takes over the screen and wouldnt let me dismiss it or clear it or delete the widget. Most times when these issues occur, just sliding power off and on would fix it, but this time I had to shutdown and restart the phone.

First major glitch on this beta, otherwise very smooth.
 
Anyone else seeing repeated crashes? My phone is restarting like 4-5 times/day now...going to be downgrading today if Apple doesn't release Beta 2.

Mine has been restarting 2-3 times a day, between 8:30 - 10:00 AM and then again at night sometime between 10:00 PM and 11:30 PM (I hear it "ding" as it's on the charger). When it reboots in the morning it's usually sitting on my desk and I see the Apple logo pop up. I checked the crash logs and it says it was a "full panic" or something along those lines.

Sorry, I was just joking with that post. It does appear to be Heavy-Medium-Light, as others have sugggested. Although that still isn’t really a good measure of rainfall.

Yeah, I don’t know too much about the logs but I also checked and there are a ton of “full panic” entries. I haven’t noticed if it’s affected by the time at all, but it seems to restart more when I’m not using it, oddly enough.

Same, mine hasn't crashed or restarted at all while using it just when it's been sitting either on the desk, or on my nightstand charging. I guess it doesn't like to be left alone, hah.

“Hey Siri” has stopped working the last few days. It was fine when I updated. I turned it off and turned it back on essentially setting it up again and it still doesn’t work.

Siri on my SE2020 is very hard of hearing at times and I need to have the phone within a foot of my face. Other times she does much better but for the life of me I cannot get her to play the news in the morning. After 3 or 4 try’s of “play or read me the news” she takes me to pandora and some band with a name close to sounding like “news”. This morning she started playing “The Clash”. She thought that was the news I guess. Hoping she gets better. I tried removing pandora from the phone and now she is really lost and just says I need an app for that even tho I have the news apps. 😳
 
I'm having the same issue where newly downloaded apps (or previously downloaded apps that were re-downloaded) are not going to the homescreen - they are just showing up in the app library after which you have to long press on it to add it to the homescreen

I didn't have this issue until a day or so ago where I deleted one homescreen (just to try it out) and then re-added it again pretty much right away

Now, all apps are downloading to the app library and not to the homescreen

Go to Settings > Home Screen and look at the default setting... money says you have the App Library Only option set. I believe that the setting gets changed by iOS when you remove your first app from the home screen and leave it in the App Library. (not sure that should work that way... just removing a single app changes the setting for everything? c'mon, Apple...)

The phones crash that’s a new one?? Why not do a clean install?? Everyone is having good outcome with this beta recently

I can open Amazon music but it does seem to crash when I try to play the music from the Home screen. It does seem to work for My Music. Definitely something is wrong for me too.
