Does anyone else not have the B2 available? My wife's 11PM has it, but mine shows up to date. Maybe it did it, but I think I only set auto downloads, but manual installs. Whats the best way to know if I'm on B1 or 2? About just shows 14.0

EDIT: found that if i tap 14.0 in about it shows the build. Same as my 2020SE that hasnt updated, so dont understand why it is up to date.

EDIT 2: Got it. Someone wanted to see the home screens from a fresh Install, and that apparently wipes the profile.

I can’t open the search tab on Apple Music on my iPad Pro 10.5 without the app crashing, so that’s fun.

First glance ...

Pro Max
- used Developer beta
- all contact photos are gone
- some apps are in 2 different folders in App Library
- App library still messed up - some apps in wrong folder
- my weather wid is now a stock wid and news is gone.'

Ipad Pro 11 2020
- used Public beta
- Widgets are all gone from screen
- couple of apps that were in folders are now on the previous screen
- none of the non-stock widgets will stay on the homepage
How are your contacts synced? iCloud, Gmail, etc.?

Perform a “reset all settings” and it’ll be fixed. Had to do this on an iPhone 11 Pro Max earlier today to repair the music app crashing when I tapped search.

Does ProMotion seem to be turned off for anyone else on their iPad Pro? I noticed scrolling on the Home Screen seemed to be laggy, and then I went to turn on the “Limit Frame Rate” setting, and I couldn’t notice a difference between the setting being on and off.

Yeah it was weird. Not sure how else to describe it! While it was happening on Beta 1, I googled it just for the heck of it since I had NEVER experienced data recovery before. The article I found was from some guy who was updating his daughter's iPod and had the same thing. It entered data recovery and when it was done, everything was still there and the software was up to what he was initially trying to update to. My phone was still going through the process at the time I was reading that, so it was reassuring to read.
Started the B2 install, and got the recovery again.

EDIT: Seemed to finish a lot faster this time, and once again the beta was installed fine with nothing lost. Now the $64K question is how do you clear the setting badge??

EDIT2: Had to sign out of iCloud, restart, and sign back in, and then the badge was gone.

The device is probably closed to maxed out processor-wise, as it reindexes after the update. Give it some time

For anyone with the “Other storage” bug, I found a workaround for the time being that worked for me pretty well.

The storage is supposed to fluctuate due to systems needs. My “other storage” was taking up about 100gb on my iPad. I basically just installed a ton of free games with the largest sizes I could find. It took a bit, but as the games installed, when my total remaining storage would get to about 1gb free, it would start freeing up space. I installed a bunch of games and then deleted them. I was able to reclaim about 50gb and it hasn’t gone back up. Hope that helps anyone out with the issue.

Not seeing this either - re: HomePod choosing different source
It may be the HomePod is not actually updated.

I can't get my HomePod to update. At first it says I'm up to date. Then it says the update is there. It starts then, then stops and says I'm up to date without doing anything. I think Apple currently has a glitch with their updating system for HomePod.

So far Beta 2 has been way buggier than Beta 1 on my 11 Pro. Already looking forward to Beta 3. Widgets don’t always show up, I can’t switch to previous apps using the top left screen icon, and that’s just what I’ve noticed so far in the last 2 hours.

Some how, I have noticed phone call quality gets reduced in beta OS compare to official one. Is it technically true or just my apprehension?

System > Other is taking up 73 GB on my 256GB IPP 2 gen, 19GB on my 64GB Mini 5, and 30Gb on my 128GB iPhone XR. The more available space you have, the bigger is it. I suppose it will be sorted out soon.

OTH, battery life has been great on my old IPP while on iOS 14 betas. It had become progressively bad on iOS 13.

Is this specific to certain models? I have an SE2020 and this happened to me on both beta 1 and 2
I’m thinking so. My 2020 SE had the same problem on both. iPad breezed through the update process with no issue.

trying this now on an iPhone 11 Pro, let's see how it works!

Yea I have SE2020 also and happened both times. Seemed faster the second time. Did you get the settings badge, and do you know how to clear it?

1. Widgets are totally fked up and unusable
2. Messages issue (not able to actually select multiple photos to delete) has been fixed
3. still 23 GB of „others“
4.
Spotify seems to work fine (thank god)
5. News Widget is gone - SHAME

News widget is there. Needed to add to the stack I had it in. The topic widget needs a better ui

In messages on my iPad Pro 11 the conversation list freezes and the only way to get it going again is to close the app and open it again. The conversation itself is fine, but you can’t select or scroll the list of conversations. happened in beta 1 too.

It’s been stated before, but for those having issues with the “Other” storage:

• Backup your iPhone

• Erase All Content and Settings

• Restore from Backup (you’ll need to set up Face ID again and do a few other small things)

My “Other” storage went from 45GB -> 5GB
