Haven't you heard? This is the place for griping about issues with pre-release software while (likely) not sending the information to the one place that matters.

This is no place for logic.

This, this, this, 1000%. You just know that 90odd percent of the issues on here will not be reported to Apple.

But just to keep on track, I would love to jump on this beta but the reboots many people seem to be suffering are really putting me off.

‘Rona 2020....people complaining about bugs in beta software It’s Beta 3!

I didn’t read the whole thread but only the past few pages but has it occurred to anyone that the possible reason the Clock isn’t working is because it’s a widget and on a far different updating timeline than the app icon? Maybe they released it to see the affects of a widget that needs to be updated every second vs others than can be updated at intervals or on specific events? How will it affect other widgets, performance, battery, etc if there are widgets that are updating every second? Only way to do that is to release it on a large scale, collect logs and gather information.

Oh....I thought it was completely messed up and that Apple should be ashamed of themselves?

(No, I don’t really think that)

Personal opinion, of course, but the reboots are really a non-issue. The only consequence I've had as a result is having to enter my passcode a couple of times per day, which I've been doing anyway since Face ID doesn't work with my mask (which I'm required to wear even if I'm in my office with the door closed). Not once has it happened while I was using my device. Never while driving and using it for music via bluetooth connection, hardwired for use with Maps through CarPlay, browsing the forums or Facebook on my down time, nada. My alarm goes off as it should every morning.

There's not one thing on my phone that I need that doesn't work as well or better than it did on iOS 13.

Yep same here, reported it.
I had that issue after the new PB and uninstalling and reinstalling seems to have fixed it at least for now.

Me too. It was showing Daily temps and now it’s back to hourly.
Funny because I never saw the daily temps unless I opened the full app. Regardless of which size widget in PB2

My clock widget on iPhone XS Max PB 3 keeps time great. I have noticed it takes a couple of seconds to update when I flip to that page of widgets but it updates to the correct time pretty quickly. So I don’t that it is a universal issue.

I spoke too soon. My clock widget is now 27 minutes behind. It seems like some kind of general widget refresh issue as my podcast, weather, and music widgets are not always up to date either.

Are you an Apple Music subscriber? Though i doubt this matters too much.
If you are, try to sign out?
Or you can try to sync some music to your iPhone and see if the alternative background color applies. My library is completely synced from iTunes. No Apple Music stuff.
I use Apple Music and I have seen the background colors change. I think it has something to do with the album artwork.

I couldn’t find the search in thread feature, so not sure if already mentioned, but this beta update again triggered the ‘attempting recovery’ process on the new SE

I have been on the public betas not the developer ones and have yet to have a reboot on my iPhone 11 or iPad mini 5.

You’ve been a member of this forum for a long time and I think I’ve seen you on previous beta tests as well

You will know that random/springboard reboots won’t be down to luck. 😁👍

The only time our iPhones are the same are before we first switch them on.

As soon as we add any apps onto them, they become our own and any particular app, or combination of apps could cause a reboot/re-spring.

It’s still useful to have comments about the frequency of these in the thread, but you will get people who have had none and others who may have had many depending on what they have installed on their iPhone.

[Naturally if everyone is experiencing them then it is down to that particular Beta]

Yes, I know it's not really 'luck'... but apparently I don't have whatever app or setting that is causing these reboots. Just keep reporting it and sending the logs to Apple...

Mine has been "slow" about 45 minutes all morning. Doing a hard restart now....and now it is correct. Will check throughout the day to see if it maintains the correct time.

My other widgets are spotty, but do seem to be updating at some point...calendar is fine...weather has been working for me...not sure how often News pages update/cycle...

But that artwork in his screenshot should prompt some level of change, not just white or black. I checked my collection and music app can always pick some color, right or not.

Re the clock widget:

I added both the single clock and 4 clock 2X2 versions to a stack. The 4 clock widget seems to keep the time well. The single clock version falls behind.

You're right. I generally see a color picked out unless the album cover (like the Beatles 50th Anniversary White Album) is in Black and White.

Question for someone....
Pro Max on DB3

One of the Widgets I turned off (deleted) was the Maps Widget.
When I have an issue, I look at the Analytics Data to see if there is a corresponding entry.

Okay ... then I found this. Had 12 yesterday, 8 so far today. Keep in mind I do not have the Maps Widget loaded anywhere. And the entry says "foreground".

Thanks in advance.

Fitness crashes on launch on 11PM. It's fine on SE2020

My 11 Pro Max doesn't have that problem.

Reboots are not good when the happen mid call though, or mid video meeting.... lol. Thankfully I have a backup for those situations.

I jumped on the beta train with PB3 on my 11 Pro but I’ve had around 5-6 reboots in the few hours I had it and repeated disconnects from my AirPods Pro and even when it’s just sitting there on the desk. Reported the disconnects and went back to 13.6 for the time being.

low power mode removed for me on ipadOS in this beta, it could be turned on by siri in the previous beta

Probably already mentioned but first time I see the weather widget changing into a daily forecast by the evening time:
