Here’s a nice little new widget enhancement (I just added to the Wiki)

Option to remove photo from “Featured Photos” widget. Tap on photo, then in photos app share sheet “Remove from Featured Photos”

Been there since B1, as I pointed it out in one of the threads when someone was complaining about a photo of a deceased relative popping up. (Might even be there in iOS 13, I never really looked)

Can anyone confirm if spatial audio is in this beta? Most anticipated feature for me.

Needs new firmware, so no point asking until you see that happen (there will, no doubt, be an article on MR and all the other sites when this happens).

Edit curated memories is crashing the photos app as well. Has been happening since beta 4.

Did anyone experiencing the backtap functions not working anymore install this update?
Even with a hard reboot or reboot on PB4 the function won't reactivate now (iPhone Xr).

I had this issue on my iPhone 11 Pro with Dev Beta 4. Installing Beta 5 fixed it.

It was working fine for me on Beta 4, and still on B5. I think on B5 it’s not as overly sensitive as it was.

Thanks for the feedback, that's encouraging.

@Ansath: the function was not that sensitive when working before, even tested when laying down on tables and bump like that. I think they adjusted it since beta 1.

Battery life has dropped on my iPhone 11 pro. It was ok on previous betas.

You are less than 24 hours into this beta. Check again in a day or 2 and then it might be relevant (after phone does it’s internal reindexing etc).

You may reply that this didn’t happen on the other betas. But you also may not have noticed (less impactful) or it may have to do with the much larger size of this install, which may imply more significant changes were made to the code-base.

I think you’re right.

I also noticed that a successful run will show a “check” at completion, indicating a successful run. Did it do that before?

(Tried to insert a video showing the above, but of course the picture picker issue I had in b4 did not get resolved, so I can’t)

For me it was activating all the time of the phone had the slightest bump.

A hard restart fixed the clock widget for me completely. Before that, it had ended up an hour behind, only a few hours after installing B5.

Any one else having issues with B5 on iPhone 11 Pro Max? My iPhone is basically useless. Freezes all the time and won’t respond. Apps stay blank and won’t open up...

Bug or a slight change?

Bug. Mine is like this

The gap between the home tiles and the others is a lot bigger then B4

Not a bug, but a design change. It appears that way since you don’t have any Home devices to fill the second row, so what you are seeing is just blank placeholders. Not a great design. Should be able to dynamically change based on how many devices you have. See the screen shot from my CC in dark mode, which shows the placeholders much clearer.
