on my car it’s the same. Seems as if it has to do with the vertical display format. Normally most cars have systems with horizontal / landscape oriented displays.

regards,
Pablo

Ideally, you could choose a horizontal or vertical status bar. I imagine that in future betas they will give the option.

Does anyone else have the issue in iPadOS 14? In the Music app, when I tap on the bar at the bottom to bring up the current song info, it crashes back to the home page?
Same here. I signed out of AMusic, deleted and reinstalled the Music app.Still the same behavior. Crashes when trying to press play button.

Found a big and infuriating bug.

When rearranging the home screen and moving widgets about, it occasionally kicks all of my apps that are in custom folders (a lot of them) onto the home screen and deletes the folders.

Did it earlier and I actually wiped and restored my phone from a back up because of how much hassle it was to put them back into folders and then in the order I am used to.... Then it did it again.

So, I am not trying to see if I can get used to using this new App Library feature and only have my most used apps on the home screen with a few widgets.

Some of the categories the apps go in are a bit off though

Hmm - turns out using listening to any of the radio stations in Music makes it crash too
[automerge]1597935843[/automerge]

No just me then. Can you listen to any of the radio stations? I get a crash with that too

Radio station play fine for me in Apple Music on 2020 12.9” iPad Pro.

With regard to the, “Other“ category, I appreciate that this will vary considerably in size during the Beta as some of it includes diagnostic logs etc.

Am I correct in thinking that it dynamically alters, purging older data if the system requires storage space for performance?

The crashing upon launch of the PNC app in iPadOS beta 4 has been fixed in beta 5. The PNC app now works fine.

Anyone else seeing the problem in Calendar where you can't use 24 hour time when creating an appointment even though everything on system is set to 24 hour time. Once it is created it shows as 24 hour time but only has am/pm option for creation editing. This is specific to iOS, not a problem with iPadOS, or with Big Sur. Still there in Beta 5.
See screenshot - note it shows start time in 24 hour format but editing is only using am/pm.View attachment 945836

You are right.. I have 24 hr on but the calendar isn’t.
Reported via Feedback.

Thx

Update: Turned 24hr off, rebooted, turned back on. Calendar is now working correctly.
Updated feedback.

Has anyone had an issue where significant locations within system settings is now empty? I used to have various locations in there and now it’s clear and doesn’t seem to be registering any new locations or my personal places
Mine are also empty on my iPhone but they show up on my Mac. On my iPad, trying to go into system services under location freezes the settings app but works fine on my iPhone. Looks like a bug in B5 and hopefully gets fixed in the next beta.

Messing with widgets and pulled out and activated ..... Weather!!!! Yeah!!!!

Or not ...

Opened my ProMax and the widget was working ... whoa....
However I was looking at the H/L and trying to figure out where those temps came from.
So I tapped on the widet and opened the Weather app.
Well, the values incuding current temp were different than the widget. Ugh.
Then I happened to glance down and the H/L forcast was different than both the widget and the app display.
So I gues it works. But not. sigh ....

Has anyone noticed that in some instances, the calendar picker/wheel doesn’t appear, though the space is created for it above the keyboard?

Yea, I’ve got some I’ve logged and they say no similar reports, but I see many people having same issue on this forum. The widgets being out of sync is one, I raised it for weather and clock a while back and it claims no similar reports

Agreed... not sure what the algorithm is for marking them as "similar reports", or what the time frame is... but I know of a couple of things that I have reported, and a buddy has reported... that show "no similar reports"... so, YES, MAKE SURE YOU REPORT IT, but don't get all worked up over the "no similar reports" thing, either.

Must be a bug then in that case. I have reported through feedback so fingers crossed 🤞🏼

About Apple News+ not loading beyond the first panel....
Had the same problem this morning, but looks to be working now.

In widgets > Maps - ProMax

When I open Maps via the widget, I am getting a randomly placed marked location appearing on the opened Maps.
No idea why it is there and it changes over time.
Right now it has pinned a local Presto Pasta while last night it pinned a house in a neighborhood about 4 miles away. That pin from last night has now vanished.

Doing a bit more playing before I report...
