iOS 14 Beta 5 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Anyone else seeing the problem in Calendar where you can't use 24 hour time when creating an appointment even though everything on system is set to 24 hour time. Once it is created it shows as 24 hour time but only has am/pm option for creation editing. This is specific to iOS, not a problem with iPadOS, or with Big Sur. Still there in Beta 5.
See screenshot - note it shows start time in 24 hour format but editing is only using am/pm.

Does anyone else have the issue in iPadOS 14? In the Music app, when I tap on the bar at the bottom to bring up the current song info, it crashes back to the home page?

Works fine for me, I don't see the am/pm. I use Swedish system language though, not English as you.
 
Photos crashes consistently on both my iPad Pro and my Pro 11. When trying to edit memories. Submitted via Feedback with a video of the crash. It happens every single time on both devices
 
In Beta 5 the Carplay status bar has been moved from the vertical left side to the bottom horizontal. And there is no possibility of moving.

Working perfectly here as well so far. 11 ProMax and iPad Pro 2020. Second hand has match the normal clock icon every time I have looked over 12 hours.

One modification to this: submit the feedback only if you’re experiencing the issue. Feedback is not a popularity contest. If you submit and are not experiencing the issue, you are potentially wasting the time of the people and systems that comb through your log files trying to find evidence of an issue you are not actually encountering.

Yup, even when phone is sat there locked, or if I'm actively using it. Not as bad as during b1-3 where it was 20-30 times a day, but still, shouldn't happen at all. I miss B4 when it never happened!

Submitted feedback, so hopefully others that are experiencing it do too.

the option to mirror front facing camera is gone for me on iPadOS 14 beta5, is it there on iPhones?
 
Am I right in thinking that with regard to widget placement, you can’t have just one row of icons above or below, but rather it’s ‘gridded’ to be two rows? And same for columns. Seems a very odd limitation if so.

on my car it’s the same. Seems as if it has to do with the vertical display format. Normally most cars have systems with horizontal / landscape oriented displays.

That’s with only 2 apps allowed for background refresh. Viewing my Google Nest cameras literally rips through battery by the seconds. Not sure if it’s Google Nest or the beta. How were you able to unfreeze that setting?
 
Apple News won't load anything past the first panel on my Today tab. This is new to beta 5 and happened both yesterday and this morning. I'm able to navigate to the Following tab and open any topic there just fine.

Is the search function on the iPhone Storage page new to this beta? I don't see it in iOS 13.

Same for me as well. At least yours is showing signs of life, as my Today tab won't load anything. Just sits and spins.

Yes mine started with Beta 4 but have increased to 10-15 times per day on Beta 5. I did a DFU restore last night and put minimal apps on the phone (I setup as new) and I'm still getting them. Mine seems to reboot when a notification is received, the screen turns on for the notification and a second later reboots. I'm using iPhone 11 Pro Max on Verizon

No crashes or random rebooting on an iPhone 11 or on an iPad mini 5 of which to speak; battery life, though, feels a little weak.

I’m not seeing this. Works fine on my 2020 12.9” iPad Pro with Apple Music subscription.

Has anyone had an issue where significant locations within system settings is now empty? I used to have various locations in there and now it’s clear and doesn’t seem to be registering any new locations or my personal places
