Yeah, same here. Just make sure to report it in the Feedback app. This has already been an issue thru the beta process. Was fixed after one of the betas and now we're back to this again. It's caching and logging and stuff, indexing and moving files. Stuff like this will be addressed before the GM is released for sure. I'm at 50.37GB right now myself, after having 138+GB after b2 and then 0GB in b4
Feedback done.

FaceID problems here on iPhone 11 Pro Max. Getting prompted to enter passcode even if I just unlock the phone after it sitting idle for a while. Apps that use FaceID to unlock are also giving me that prompt even if I haven't tried to open them in a while. Trying a reboot now and if no luck might re-do FaceID.
Same here on XS Max. I also did a reboot and so far it is better. Will have to see if the issue returns.

I’m having issues installing this, it downloads, prepares update about 3/4 of the way and then instantly just goes back to “update requested” and then hangs there until phone restart which only does the same thing, download, process 3/4 and then stuck on Update requests,

Anyone else / a solution?

PB5 installed 30m ago no issues, maybe server issues, try restarting your phone.

Are we sure public beta 5 has been released yet? I read an Apple Insider article that stated it has been released, but on both my iPad Pro and my iPad Mini 5, it says my iPad is up to date. I currently have iPadOS 14 beta 4 installed on both devices.

OK. I guess they haven't rolled it out to everybody yet. I'll check again this evening when I get home from work.
Also, check to make sure you still have the profile active. Sometimes you need to uninstall/reinstall the profile for some reason.

Already wrote this on another thread but maybe somebody here is happy about the info as well:

On the 2020 iPhone SE, Haptic Touch finally works on the lockscreen with Beta 5! :)

(For me personally one of the highlights of iOS 14, I really missed this feature.)
This is truly great news, thanks for bringing it my attention

When my phone is locked and I pick it up, it says on the screen that I need to enter pass code before I can use the Face ID after restart, even I haven’t restarted the phone. Happened several times now.

Yep, my profile is still active on both devices.

I am currently installing it on my iPad Pro, but it is still not yet available on my iPad Mini 5. Perhaps this evening it'll be there.

I have read some posts that the AirPods Pro audio issue when making calls and receiving calls was fixed on the iPhone Pro Max in Beta 5 and others where it is still broken, anyone have the answer to this?

Have beta 5 on my iPhone 11 Pro and my 2018 iPad Pro. I feel like on both devices I am getting prompted more for my pin code vs it accepting Face ID.
I ended up resetting Face ID on my iPhone 11 Pro and so far seems to be fixed. Haven’t noticed on my 2018 iPad Pro.

It is fixed for me (so far) but others here have reported continuing issues.

Does going to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services end up freezing your phone?

I have to force quit the Settings app.

I had the same issue and this is what solved it for me. I had to click on it so it froze up. While it was still frozen, I performed a hard reset and after the phone restarted, I am now able to go into that setting. Hope this helps.

UPDATE: Oddly enough, I tried it again about 30 minutes later and it froze again. Doing the same process, unfroze it. Not quite sure why it continues to freeze, but doing that method will at least allow you to get into that setting until it freezes again.

View attachment 945690Is anyone else also seeing this new location toggle in system services?

After finding a way to unfreeze that setting, I too am seeing this. Not sure what affect turning it off has. On a side note, battery drain on these betas for me has been one of the worst. That’s with only 2 apps allowed for background refresh. Viewing my Google Nest cameras literally rips through battery by the seconds. Not sure if it’s Google Nest or the beta. Until the next update...
