Apple's website says it's US only, so that means it'll be US only at launch, other countries will have to wait until iOS 14.1 at the earliest, it seems.

Not seeing that issue on my 11 Pro Max

I've talked to DarkSky app developers before asking them why the app is unavailable in Europe. They said that it's because they don't have access to EU's weather radar data to provide minute by minute forecasts. I suspect that is the reason why this only works and will work in the US.

Code:
We only provide short-term, minute-by-minute forecasts for the USA and UK at present. We're working on expanding this into Europe, but we're currently waiting on the EU to make their radar data commercially available. (They've unfortunately been telling us "it'll be ready in six months" for the last two years, but we'll keep bugging them until it's ready!)

Once we have it, short-term forecasts in Europe will appear automatically.
And that was in 2015.

As discussed earlier in the thread, and in the front page article....

no it has not been enabled. A setting has been added to disable it in accessiblity on iOS, but we are yet to receive the firmware update to enable it on the AirPods themselves yet.

It’s not displayed on this. Didn’t read any front page article as I don’t read every thread/article on MR and I hadn’t read all 195 posts. Hence not seeing the previous.

So thanks for letting me know it’s not actually spatial audio that’s been enabled.

Ok I have tried posting this 2 times. Have had multiple crashes this morning have reported each one. It will suddenly just shut off and not allow me to restart for about 45-60 secs. Looked at the error logs saw “temperature over load warning 45c” that’s not very high. Hopefully someone put a wrong value in. This could get bad tho with throttling issues. Let’s hope not. This is on my 2020 iPad Pro.

Beta 6 introduced two new problems for me: FaceID stops working regularly, a reboot fixes this. Also, downloaded PDF files cannot be displayed from Safari any longer, content is not shown. The file can be opened fine from the files app.

Has anyone else had any issues with the Apple Watch syncing health and activity data back to the iPhone after installing the latest betas? The Fitness app stopped updating rings on the phone and other health data, including hand washing and sleep isn't updating in the Health app on iPhone. Unpairing and repairing the watch and resetting settings on the iPhone didn't resolve this issue.

same here with the mask. if I have any mask on, even one i wear every day, it doesn't even ask for FACE ID, right to the passcode screen. Maybe people who have it working with the mask on created an alternate appearance?

I thought straight to passcode is by design. As before all this. FaceID would just keep trying and trying and fail with a mask on. Until you got the passcode screen. Now with a mask and implementation it takes you to passcode. There’s a video out there explaining this. Could be wrong, but never seen/heard it will unlock with a mask. (I thought the same) How is Apple to know every different/shape mask made.

this is the first beta I've had noticeable issues. Mainly, my iPhone 11 Pro Max re-springs quite often (3 times so far today, not yet noon), and FaceId will randomly not work, only fixed by a restart.

I had this problem w/ DB1-2 but was fixed/not present in 3-5 now it's back in DB6: When using airpods pro and using "hey siri" to send a text, all siri will respond with is "you must unlock your iphone first" despite the setting to use siri when locked being selected. I've restarted/toggled settings on and off/re-paired airpods/etc but still doesn't work.

I asked about alternate, and they it won't setup. Just that FaceID learned the mask appearance

Maybe you want to change your post to “part of Europe” or “Most of Europe”, as it’s available here in the UK working fine. So, they could include the UK, if they wanted.

Apple have limited things to the US first, then other countries later, many times. The new Maps with iOS 13 forexample.

There was a conversation about 2-3 pages back. Searching the thread would have helped you. ☺

Haven't seen if it's been mentioned here in this thread yet, but the screen orientation doesn't rotate when you turn your phone 90*. I went to control panel, toggled the lock screen button, and pictures or the screen still didn't rotate.

Workaround..... restarted the phone and now it works properly. Sent a report to Apple

I agree, I see the straight to passcode when wearing mask a good "feature," but obviously if FaceID could work with a mask on, that would be even better.

If the EU hasn't made the radar data commercially available then Apple can't do anything about it. The UK is soon out of the EU anyway.

Not sure what version you are running on your Apple Watch.

I only have one Apple Watch which is an S5 so I wouldn’t install the Beta on that as I understand you have to send it back to Apple if something is seriously wrong.

I am running the latest watchOS 6.2.8 together with this Beta on my iPhone XR and it is syncing up just fine.

I had the same experience on B5 which was the first Beta I joined this year.

Is it just me or are some of those new toggles worded really confusing on iOS like often I find myself wondering if I need to toggle something ON or OFF. For instance the new tracking toggle. I am confused about the wording like does it mean all tracking will automatically be blocked if I turn it OFF and only if I toggle it ON will I get the pop up?

In short, should I leave it ON or OFF?

It‘s not happening, otherwise they would’ve not gone out of their way to mention „US only“ everywhere (in the keynote, on the iOS 14 page).
Probably happens in iOS 15.

I did read that Dark Sky were supporting the UK and Ireland too though with the precipitation alerts.

Leave it on, the toggle basically makes it so that apps have to ask you for your permission to track you, and you can decline. Similar to how apps ask you to track your location.

Are you able to toggle this setting? My toggle is grayed out and won't let me change it on 11Pro b6.
