This actually started at the very end of beta 6 and is now still here for beta 7. My top status bar with the date, time, wifi connection, etc. won’t show up in Safari anymore. It’s fixed for now with a soft reset. Let’s hope it doesn’t disappear again.

How is HomePod beta? I have 2, but I am afraid on installing the beta, because if they get bricked im not in a country with an official Apple Store or even when they sell these.

This beta is a lot better then the one before. You’ll be fine

Has everyone just forgotten about or given up on the Mail app not fetching new emails? Not seen it mentioned in the remaining issues for weeks now, but it's never been fixed.
I’m not having issues with mail

I’m not having issues with mail

Apart from the mail app on the watch not reflecting changes in the mail app on the phone reliably (reported), and this has been happening since beginning of iOS 14 for me, mail is now working perfectly on the phone itself.

"Show Home Controls" enables two lines for it in the control centre to display whatever it thinks you might be interested in. It's rubbish (to me) so I've toggled it off and re-added the old Home Control icon.

Exactly what I’ve done. It is seriously piss poor UI design, I don’t know what they were thinking. But still plenty of time for it to change...

I’m actually having success with the Mail app on my S4 Apple Watch. Looking back at how horrible Mail was during iOS 13 (Waking every morning to see a 2 badge number and then opening Mail and it updates and I’ve got 6 or 12 emails. Always a crapshoot), I never even really tried using the Mail app on my Watch. I’ve found it to be quite useful lately.

Initially, to get Mail working for me again, I had to remove each account including my iCloud mail, then delete the Mail app, then reinstall and add the accounts back again. But from everything I’ve read about the Mail app not working, it’s really going to be once of those YMMV sort of things.

It would be great if they offered a way to select what your favorites actually are! Lol What’s always listed for me is usually NOT what I’d want quick access to..

It’s certainly very random. If I delete or archive emails from the watch, those changes are always reflected 100% of the time on the phone. But I can’t guarantee that any changes made in the stock mail app on the phone will be reflected on the watch. If I go into the watch app on the phone, and then mail, and then toggle the ‘organise by thread’ setting it will then correct the watch, albeit temporarily.

actually, I thought the same thing. I just moved all my apps to a different screen like I had done in the past to give me a blank Home Screen and it worked! I am on 2018 IPP 11. Hopefully this tip helps you out 😀

I tried that yesterday, hire done and it just reverted to the two screen again.

What provider do you use. I have 2x Outlook and 1x company hosted exchange server for work mails and they all come through instantly. No fetching or badge issues here.

The only issue I ever encountered was mails taking a second to pop up in the inbox during the early release days of iOS 13.

Is anyone else having the odd bug when wireless using CarPlay, and the music seems to switch to call audio (while still playing music), because the audio quality degrades and I can change the volume and it uses the call volume scale vs the music volume scale. I'm using an Alpine iLX-107 car stereo.

Edit: already submitted the bug in the Feeeback app.

I've not seen that with wireless CarPlay (mine is wired), but I have seen the issue where the volume adjustment only affects the "prompt" level and not the audio (music) level. It was mostly in Waze, and I think Waze sorted that out for the most part - though it keep showing up again in their TestFlight betas.

This may or may not be the same thing that you are seeing. :D

Face ID doesn’t work for locked notes. Tried restarting and turning Face ID for notes off/on but just asks for password straight away.

I’ve had zero issues with this beta on iPhone 11 Pro. Feels GM quality. All my apps work including the banking ones. Good stuff.

I’ve started testuing this in b7 (b6 still had issues) and early indications are good. The only place I am seeing an issue so far is with my iCloud account.

I’ll post an update later Friday most likely.
