You sure you had it turned off before? As handoff has been around for years now.

Definitely had it turned off as I haven't ever seen this happen before where when someone accesses a website on my iPad (usually the kids) I get the Siri Suggestion on my iphone.

As soon as I updated to beta 7 I noticed this. Had my wife and I n it been on the devices in the same room at the same time I wouldn't have realised. She told me what site she was on and as soon as clicked the open new tab on safari on my phone, I saw the Siri Suggestion.

I've always had the Handoff setting on, and I've always seen various suggestions between devices. If you definitely had it turned off before, then maybe it was like the issue where people's bluetooth got turned on when a new iOS update installed a couple years ago.

It's only devices using the same AppleID, I think?

b7 on IPP11 2020 and 11PM
  • Mail - seeing an incorrect count with my iCloud account. Exchange and Gmail both seem to be working well
  • Messages - default expanded view for long messages is back. Still seeing an issue sending attachments to Android - taking long to send and have had a couple of failures
  • Wifi - seeing the occasional dropout of wifi. Testing with Net Analyzer shows sporadic speed drops to “0”.
  • Springboard - have had a couple of Home screen freezes ion the 11PM. Freezes for up to 5 seconds.
  • App Library - had a couple of apps that didn’t show up in the App Library. A hard reset looks to have fixed the issue for now.
  • Logitech Folio and Magic Keyboard (IPP11) - both are working well.
  • Yes, Spell Check is still a mess.
  • Siri - more testing needed. Am getting an awful lot of “Here’s what I found ...”
Testing individual apps at the moment...

All issues reported.

Just installed the beta. I’m surprised that there’s no favorite contacts widget anymore. Any workarounds?

Face ID doesn’t work for locked notes. Tried restarting and turning Face ID for notes off/on but just asks for password straight away.

Face ID works just fine for locked notes on my iPhone 11 Pro.

On my 11PM they just don’t ever try and go straight to password.

Worked fine up until this beta.

*EDIT* - Found the problem. In the notes section of the settings app for some reason the FaceID was switched off. Switched it back on and all is good again.

Still seeing an issue on IPP 11 with MK in Safari for a new tab where it also opens the on screen keyboard when hooked to the MK. Do not see the issue hooked to the Logitech Folio.

Is anyone else having the odd bug when wireless using CarPlay, and the music seems to switch to call audio (while still playing music), because the audio quality degrades and I can change the volume and it uses the call volume scale vs the music volume scale. I'm using an Alpine iLX-107 car stereo.

Edit: already submitted the bug in the Feeeback app.

Yes! It was more of a problem in earlier betas, but I had it happen again this morning. I think I narrowed it down to happening when an app goes to use the microphone for something it switches.

The quick fix is just tapping the Siri button and dismissing her, and the CarPlay audio returns to normal.

I've having the same issue but on a 6S so TouchID not FaceID. Followed your advice and tried to turn TouchID back on but it wouldnt take the password which i knew was right as it unlocked the notes when i tried. Ended up resetting the Notes password, turning on TouchID, opening a locked note but it was still the old Password after which i was prompted to update the password on all notes using the old one and now its letting me unlock via TouchID again.

Has everyone just forgotten about or given up on the Mail app not fetching new emails? Not seen it mentioned in the remaining issues for weeks now, but it's never been fixed.

Guess I'm not included in "everyone". Hard for me to forget about an issue that I've never had.

Clock widget was fine for me on B6.

B7 it's horrendous, only takes around ten minutes for it to lose time

I'm seeing a slightly annoying bug where dark mode won't activate automatically at sunset. It's been happening since beta 5. I reset all settings and it did nothing. Reported.

I’m not sure if this has been posted and if so, my apologies. Is this happening to anyone else? In CC, there’s a row of blank/missing icons. If you’ve seen it, is there a way to get rid of it? I’ve tried to add or remove items to fix it but it’s always there.
Same here.

Same here.

We’re all seeing it. Apparently thought it might change but been that way since Beta 3 or 4. Only way to remove them is to disable Home Controls in CC. Cannot edit favorites or remove placeholders unfortunately.

I think we all hope that changes in the future lol

Weird bug with CarPlay, making it a dealbreaker as far as usability for me: can no longer control audio when phone is connected. Remove phone/CarPlay, and all audio controls work fine. Reconnect and I can only control “prompt volume”, not overall audio volume. Tried every combination, permutation, reset everything (including car dash unit)... anyone else?

Not all of us are seeing it... mine is good.

I've see that come and go ... mostly with Waze. The work-around is to invoke Siri then cancel.

That little trick is no longer working (for me at least); now “prompt volume” doesn’t even change THAT volume. Took a vid and reported via the Feedback app; tried to attach here but keep getting “oops... we ran into a problem”

Just set an alarm for tomorrow morning and the alarm icon doesn’t show up next to the battery percent in the upper right corner of Control Center...

Its is so weird seeing all the messages saying this was fixed and then a few post later its broken for others .. (weather & clock as an example) My clock is fine but my weather is still off. So I wonder for those saying its working no issues how they installed the Beta, OTA or IPSW ??.. Did they wipe and do a install fresh on all betas (doubtful) ??
For me I always start with a clean iOS 13.6.1 (wipe and fresh install) then OTA all betas through there cycle .. any input would be welcomed ..

Regarding my Face ID issue: In my previous post I noted that it was early. I wanted to give the phone some time to finish indexing and the other things. Now that B7 has been on the phone for 24 hours, Face ID seems to working correctly. That was my only major bug, so I can join the crowd that sees this build as GM quality.

Not to be ‘that guy’, but it’s a beta. And there are iOS, app and server side components to all of this. Not sure where the actual issue(s) lie, but I am not getting too worked up over a degree or two difference or a minute or even 10 lag. Just keep reporting the issues, and enjoy the ride on the beta train as best you can. (They warn you not to install the beta iOS on your non-test device, so, well ...)
