Strange one, MacBook Pro Bluetooth is coming up on my iPhone Bluetooth connections.

Bluetooth is off on my MacBook Pro. Deleted them both in the Bluetooth settings on my iPhone haven’t come back since.

Bug?

Or should I check something?

iPhone running latest public beta.

MacBook Pro running latest Big Sur public beta.

I am having wi-fi issues also. My issue is that whenever the screen locks, it turns off the wi-fi. When i wake up the phone, i have to go into the wi-fi settings and turn it off, wait about 15 seconds, and then turn it back on. Takes about another 15 seconds and then wi-fi is enabled. iPhone Xs Max and iPhone 11.

Sounds like your on ‘low data mode’ for that Wi-fi connection.

Phone is connect BT/Bluetooth in my truck but no sound notifications come though on my phone bc it’s connected unless I actually switch my radio over to BT/Bluetooth function. Is this a bug or by design??

By design. Only way to get any sound is to not have your phone connected or have it on phone/bt on stereo.

When you get a call your stereo should flick onto phone mode and ring out loud.

Anyone else notice that autocomplete no longer works when searching on the App Store? I think this started in beta 7. Not a huge deal, just weird.
I thought I’d come back and clarify exactly what I meant by this. Autocomplete, as in the drop down list as you type, works just fine for me. What quit working was autocomplete of the app name up in the actual search bar. I had that in beta 6 but it went away after beta 7-8. Again, not a huge deal at all. May be a keyboard issue where I’ll have to reset the dictionary or something.

Is anyone else experiencing in calendar events showing the location as a different location? I open calendar and it shows the locations is at a local restaurant. The problem is that is the location associated to a different event. It should be showing I am supposed to be at the local arena.

I scroll and click the today button and it changes and shows the right location. I’m syncing my google calendar and it’s all right when you go to it on the web. If I keep hitting today, some event locations will also go blank.

Yep, just checked and mine does the same and if I keep tapping the today button the location sometimes changes. Very weird. This is on an exchange account by the way.

We get it. You don't like it. You keep pounding that drum, droning on and on and on... but understand that no one here can do anything about it. You are howling at the moon on this. Don't tell us. Tell Apple. Maybe they will change it to your liking. Maybe they won't. But THEY are the only ones with the power to do it.

Because of this response I’m going to mention it at least 30 times this weekend.

What kind of "won't work" - what should we be trying to do/expecting to see/not seeing?
Go to Accessibility > Sound Recogniton and turn it on and select all sounds listed there and then go back to the home screen and enter to Messages App and then try to send someone a Memoji record via iMessage and let all guys here in MacRumors Forum know if your Memoji will work... Easy, isn’t it?

That’s what I thought. It just seems strange to have the three dots at the end of share. Poor implementation.

But to add, the iMessage picture doesn’t become or replace my Apple ID one unless I ask it to.
It‘s not strange, it works exactly as one expects: it opens a context menu that gives you several options / granular control over what you share with a contact.

Will you please read what I have typed, it does *not* bring up a context menu! I tap on ‘share…’ and it disappears!

You are mistaking it for the ‘Edit’ option in the main list of messages. I am referring to, as per the picture I previously added, an individual message.

I am not mistaking it, I literally used the share... option a few days ago and it *did* open a context menu where I could choose what I want to share with the contact.

Been fine here for me. 11 pro
I also have zero lag typing in Messages. Strange though, I have one conversation thread where the bottom line of text is removed from every message. It's only multi-line messages affected and no other conversations have it.

So you are saying that when you are in an individual message, and you get the option to ‘share your name and photo’ followed by the word ‘share…’ when you tap on ‘share…’ it then brings up a menu? If that is the case mine has never ever done that since it was first introduced a couple of years ago. Would you mind uploading a picture of yours please?

I’m going to try it on my iPad now. The one I’m having trouble with is my iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Edit: just tried on my iPad with the exact same issue. Tapping share… Does absolutely nothing except make that banner disappear where it says share your name and photo

Weather widget - 11PM

If I switch my Weather widget to My Location I am finding it sporadically show as being off. Opening the app and going back to the widget fixes it short term.

Any suggestions before I report this?

Just reset my profile for this and it... doesn‘t work anymore.

I‘m 100% certain it did pre-beta 8, because I did it for a bunch of people I started chatting with on iMessage.

I’ve also had a few issues off & on with the share sheet thru these betas. Whether in Safari or Twitter or whatever.. press the share icon and the share sheet opens up but it’s blank. Nothing there at all. Haven’t had this issue on beta 8, yet.

We are not referring to the system-wide share sheet, we are referring to the ‘Share...’ option explicitly in iMessage. When tapping ‘Share…’ in an individual message nothing happens. And this might be standard behaviour but whenever there is ‘...’ after an option it always means further choices will be presented.

As I say, it’s never worked for me since it was first introduced, maybe back in iOS 13? I do wonder if you are getting it confused with the Edit option under the main messages list rather than an individual one? Anyway, thanks for checking.

Edit: i’ve reported it via the feedback app anyway FB8673032

Autocomplete in the App Store has been gone for a couple of betas, I think.
Just tested what you describe and inline autocomplete is gone.
