As I say, it’s never worked for me since it was first introduced, maybe back in iOS 13? I do wonder if you are getting it confused with the Edit option under the main messages list rather than an individual one? Anyway, thanks for checking.

Edit: i’ve reported it via the feedback app anyway FB8673032
Nope most definitely not getting it confused because I‘ve tried various options for the people I shared my details with. I think it had 3 options: Name only, photo only, both.
Not 100% certain though but it popped up a few days ago.

which brings me to the ultimate solution. Let me (everyone) choose what category it’s in.

So, basically just the original folders method that was in previous iOS and can still be done in iOS 14? Maybe you don’t get the point of the App Library. It’s for people that don’t want to have to make their own categories of folders.

Ok cheers

Could anyone else please try?

Sigh...I get the point. I'm just literally pointing out inconsistencies and sloppiness of the app drawer. Trust me, I'm not a dick that's complaining for the sake of complaining. I want to really like the App Drawer. But in its current state, it's not up to Apple's standards. I should have 5 wallpaper apps and 3 of them appear in one folder and the other 2 in a different folder. It makes no sense. That's why my solution is to allow the user to place apps in whatever App Library folder they want. Or...all the user to have the alphabetical list set by default. 2 small things that would not negatively affect anyone who is currently happy with the App Drawer in its current state.

Not that you were talking to me LOL but I get what you’re saying. Maybe just give it time for both Apple and the app devs to iron out the bugs

Complain to the app developers for not picking the right category, so it goes to the right place.

The point is that the user doesn’t have to put the effort into the App Library, and those that want thing different still have the freedom to make their own.

When things aren't categorized correctly, the user DOES have to put in effort into the App Library. Disorganization takes away the feeling of the OS being effortless.

Good point. This could all be worked out.

Here you go (please, no comments on my unread emails!)

5137 unread emails?!?!?!?

I lost some data in the Health app, namely Active Calories, Exercise time, and others. Also the values for today are very different from what apple watch (watch OS 6) reports.

They are categorised correctly, in the eyes of the developer of the app.

That’s great. Because who cares about the user experience right???

I agree, but it’s also partially Apple’s fault for not steering devs in the right direction when it comes to categorizing their apps. If they presented specific options in Xcode for them to choose from, there’d be more consistency.

and a big +1 from me to add an option in Settings/Home Screen to either use the App List ONLY or App Categories.

Has anyone seen this error before, pops up as soon as I open the Apple TV app, not seen this previously during b8.
Nothing has changed in my account or settings so this is something ne

Edit: Not that I use it but I notice the Family Sharing menu has disappeared from Settings - wondering if this is linked or perhaps some backend service issues?

Anyone experiencing keyboard lags in any application when typing? How do I fix this?

Yes, it comes and goes.
Seeing it intermittently (grrrr) in Messages, Safari, Mail, Notes, and Kodex.
Surpisingly I am not seeing it in MSOffice apps or nonApple email apps.

Using Logitech Folio, Magic Keyboard, and onscreen keyboard.

Yes and No.
Still seeing issues with Mail mostly around counts and iCloud mail. Most of the rest seems to be working.
This is of course subject to change depending on the beta. ;)
I've just figured out how to fix mail notification problems.
Implementation: logout icloud and store, either bakup or not backup (tried both cases), - next to DFU you will see the mail works very well.

Another example: Most of my artsy photo creating apps are listed in the “Creativity” category. Cubasis 3, which is literally used to create music, is listed in the “Entertainment” category.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
