OK, I've found another wacky bug...

I have a shortcut that I use to turn a subscription-based website newsletter into a PDF that then automatically emails to my Kindle app.

Today it didn't work. The "make PDF from *input*" doesn't do anything any longer and I get a blank email.

WORSE... I've noted that the "Send PDF to iBooks" part of the Share Sheet has disappeared, which was my manual work around if my Shortcut ever broke.

So, it appears I have NO WAY to make a PDF from a web page any longer?

Did you restart the phone? I had this issue after upgrading one of the iOS 13 versions, my score plummeted and after a reboot it was fine.

so I ended up wiping my phone and did a fresh official instal of 14... and waited a few days. Still 1000 down on multi core geek bench from iOS 13.5 WTF.

but 14 feels smoother, slicker more responsive... so actually feels faster. Weird!

I have a plug-in for Google Chrome (GoFullPage) on my Mac... probably not what you are after... but can create a PDF of a complete web page.

OK, I think I actually fixed this. As they say, "IT'S A FEATURE NOT A BUG". The Shortcuts input changed drastically and what was a default setting on PDF input now has a billion variables, and I missed that. Now that I've selected the right input variable, it works.

Very weird! Possible bug with GB and iOS 14?

If you change your wallpaper this will happen. It’s been a bug since beta 7. If you keep your wallpaper unchanged and restart it will be fine. Which unfortunately includes apples built in dark mode wallpapers, regular wallpapers with dark mode should be fine.

This is actually happening for me not only when changing wallpapers but occasionally also when going back to the home screen by swiping up or when unlocking the iPad Pro.

I haven't really had any issues with 14 - my phone and iPad seem faster and smoother. I got the message last night when I plugged my phone in that it wouldn't do to 100% charge until 4:00am due to when I usually start using phone - I had read about this due to keeping battery life longer.
Also, I tried using my phone on carplay to make sure it would work - Apple maps was set to Approximate location vs. actual - the other maps apps were set to actual - I think that is interesting that Apple would set defaults that way. I would think if you plug into CarPlay it would do actual location since you can't do directions with approximate.
Anyone using App Folder and hidden normal app display? Found when you have a folder in a App folder you can press on that and shows full display of all the apps with names - nice to have that.

I think the thread title should've retained 'GM' in it but oh well

SE2020 users - how is 14.0 GM performing for you so far? Stability, performance, and battery specific.

Today on the road my iPhone could not charge with the car USB cable when Apple maps navigation was open. The phone went to 64% battery in 1.5 hours after gps navigation even though the charging icon was on. And then Apple maps kept closing the navigation after 30 seconds of hitting "Go".

Once I shut off Apple maps, the phone charged to 100% like normal.

IPP11 2020 14 GM with Magic Keyboard and Logitech Folio

On both keyboards I tap the spacebar to wake the IPP up and tap again to unlock.
Works fine with the Folio.
Works so-so with the MK. Sometimes tapping the spacebar will apprently do nothing. If I tap it 2 or mnore times then tap the screen the IPP will wake an unlock all in a rush as if the commands from the spacebar were cued. Had an issue with the MK on Beta 8 also.

"Up next" for alarms is broken or missing in action. How to see my upcoming alarms?. Really seems few people at Apple uses an iphone for work.

Battery life is stellar for me, iPhone XR 98% battery health. I am ending the day with about 5-10% more battery than with iOS 13.7.

DFU installed set up as new. Only contacts and mail synced from iCloud.

nice man. My XR is on 91%, 2 years old, moderate use with no loco screen notifications on, gets me 50% batt still at the end of the day. last me two days easy. Did you get yours on the day of release? Your health is amazing for an XR.

Battery is pretty bad for me on 11 Pro, seems like there's a steady drain when not in use. Under 2 hours usage today and it's dropped from 100% to 66%. My typical usage usually gets me to 80%. The background usage in the morning was from the Mail app when I don't use it and don't have any mail accounts enabled.

IOS 14 is running excellent on iPhone 8 Plus.

With moderate use, it hold 1 to 2 days. Hasn’t updated my SE 2020 yet.

Tapping a folder on the Home Screen feels totally different on 14. I tried opening the folder containing the App Store because I had 8 app updates. The folder didn’t open. Can’t let my finger linger too long when tapping folders now. I’ve got to tap really quickly.
Has nobody else noticed this with tapping a folder? I noticed it immediately. The way I usually tap the screen, the folder icon dims but it doesn't open. But it works if I do a really quick tap. Imagine if the screen was red hot and you were trying not to burn your thumb. That's how I have to tap folders to get them to open. Apps themselves are unaffected.

EDIT: I have an iPhone 8 and it's the same on my iPhone 7 provided by work. Really frustrating!

This week I installed iOS14 right away and don't have any problems with it. However, it's always tricky to download the first version. I was very curious to iOS14 and love the App Libary and the new widget when you swipe to the right side.
