No, i set up as new. Always have done. I realise it’s not necessary but i like to do it for my own peace of mind, I do the same with windows, Mac OS, whatever software I’m using 🙂Do you then restore from a backup or not?

and Alarm sound is so low doesn't wake you up... but its ready for the world to have LOLGotta love a new public release with a bunch of broken widgets. Weather is off, Clock is waaaaay off, Apple Music doesn’t update and Reminders sometimes doesn’t even load at all.
It just works.
Oh, i didn’t read their post in that way, my bad if you’re correct!I believe they are referring to a post about removing dev profile or keeping it.
It's a full release, should be free from obvious bugs and glitches like that. Don't try to make us to lower our expectations, it's Apple and they charge us premium prices for their products and we have a right to expect better than that.yeah because widgets is going to prevent the iphone from really working at all!
I do the same! It just feels good to start totally fresh sometimes. No, i set up as new. Always have done. I realise it’s not necessary but i like to do it for my own peace of mind, I do the same with windows, Mac OS, whatever software I’m using 🙂
No OS is free of bugs. It should be the best that it can be, but unfortunately more often than not as reality goes pretty much with any business a whole lot of other things come into play beyond just pure quality. It's a full release, should be free off visible bugs like that. I’m thinking about doing a clean install, not sure wether it’ll be worthwhile or not but I like starting fresh sometimes.
The GM seems to have been released to public beta testers as well as developers.Public beta out too? I had to leave for work right after the event so I didn’t have time to check![]()

Sorry? What do you mean?
I realise that, thanks. If you remove dev profile you won’t get iOS 14.1 14.2 early beta releases
I don’t get why my download is so effing slow on my wifi today? Gigabit fiber and good router never had this issue before lol. Timer jumps between 1-2 hours for downloading.
sucks I guess I’ll just read the comments and reviews for now

So GM is essentially the same as PB8?
You cannot restore from the ISPW if you want to start fresh. At least not on Catalina. It seems that the OS needs an update first that isn't available from Apple yet. I assume it's possible to restore from the GM version of Xcode 12.
Can't you just install the update and then reset the phone as another way of "starting fresh"?
