I have siri suggestions when sharing turned on but on GM and all betas the share sheet to recent message recipients has not been working. Anyone have a work around?

My share sheet works perfectly, it recommends my recent Messages threads. Have you filed a detailed feedback on the Feedback app? Perhaps Apple would find the logs from your phone useful.

Anyone had trouble on the TV app, trying to scrub a purchased video the cursos just comes back? Had this since beta 8 (which seems to be same build)

Works fine for me also.
Have you checked that the Siri options are also turned on in Messages under Settings-->Siri & Search-->Messages?
If that's all turned on, try messaging someone and then see if they show up in share.

Earlier in the pandemic I used my iPhone to record short talks and imported to iMovie to edit, and I was having no problems. Lately, I’ve noticed problems with the audio and video not syncing up when I import from my iPhone 11 Pro to my MacBook Pro.

Is it possible this is a beta issue, or is this a problem I was just lucky enough to not encounter earlier on?

How do you see the next-hour precipitation chart (Dark Sky)? First time installing iOS 24 (didn’t run the earlier betas) and can’t find it. Weather app looks pretty much the same as iOS 13.

It just shows up when there is impending precipitation.

You have to be in the US, and rain has to be starting in the next hour.

My feedback app didn’t disappear.

Apologies, that is now tied to having the profile installed, but the rest is as I said

I know, I know, most insignificant "issue" ever. But it's a little careless, haha. They didn't capitalize the "N" in "Find My network"

Unless it's intentional, they do it twice

it’s international. It’s basically the “Find My” network, not “Fin My Network”.

Anybody figure out how to setup Apple Cash Family?

we don’t even have Apple Cash in the

I will update the current beta 8 with this IPSW and wait for the next beta cycle to begin. iOS 14 is a good release (at least in the beta cycle).

poor call quality after installing first B1. Expected it would be resolved in GM but still. Now, hope, original call quality will be restored in public release. Now, onwards, deleting beta profile.

Doesn't seem like there are controls related to it. That said, certainly many find the information useful at least on the level of knowing of an app is doing something that it really shouldn't be without them knowing about it.

I feel like that’s not a thing? When has anyone ever pasted text and they don’t know how it got to their clipboard or what app it came from?

Apps can access the clipboard without you actively tapping 'paste' - these alerts now give that away.

Obviously if you open up a dating app and it tells you it accessed data that 1Password or some other app with private data, you probably wouldn't be too pleased.

Is this definitely still US-only? I noticed on my phone this morning in the UK that if I scroll down to the bottom of my current location weather, I get the very precise location (even down to the road) and a couple of days into the future now shows the % chance of rain, which I don't recall seeing on iOS 13. I'll keep comparing to the actual Dark Sky app anyway.

Yup, Apple's website states as such. Weather might have more detail added, but the precipitation in the next hour is US only.

Seems like there are circumstances when apps have been reading the clipboard without the need for it or the user being aware. A variety of articles about that sort of thing came out during the iOS 14 beta process, like https://www.macrumors.com/2020/07/06/reddit-app-clipboard-snooping-fix-coming/, and even lawsuits have filed, https://www.macrumors.com/2020/07/11/linkedin-clipboard-reading-lawsuit/. Appears to be to be quite a thing.

Stupid noob question but if I delete the beta profile on the GM will I still get an update for the public release later today? Not used to testing out the iOS betas.

By the way I've been using the iOS 14 beta releases on my first gen iPhone SE (so, iPhone 6S specs) and even on that it performs well. Not as snappy as my XS Max is on 13.7 (and I'm sure will continue to be on 14) but it's not lagging or anything like that. Even on older iPhones expect good performance.

Only if they change the version number. The GM is what they plan to release, I have it installed, and done just that, software say's 14.0

But how is reading the clipboard the same as copying to the clipboard or am I just not understanding the purpose of the banner? All it tells you is what app the copied text came from. Since when are apps copying text to a clipboard? Aren’t they maliciously reading text(s) from clipboards?
