iOS 14 Release Speculation

My speculation is Tuesday we'll get iOS 14 dev beta 3 and watchOS dev beta 3. Then on Wednesday we'll get the public beta versions for both.

Side note, I know this is an iOS speculation thread, but since the watch is so closely tied to the iPhone I feel it's appropriate to put some watchOS speculations in here too. If you feel that'd get too off-topic then just say something.

so was Dev Beta 2 for some people. Seems just a labelling cock up.

I hope Apple just unifies them with the same number since its the same build.

I would say just after 10am Cupertino time on Tuesday, so that's like 3am Wednesday in Sydney, if I worked it out right! Mondays have happened, but commonly it's Tuesday. ☺️

Yea, tomorrow is more likely. I’m 98% certain of it. Looking online, all the usual suspects that also get it right, are saying 21st July (just after 10am Cupertino time).

Yes — iOS 14, iPadOS 14, macOS Bug Sur, tvOS 14, watchOS 7 were all released on June 22, 2020 on a Monday afternoon after the WWDC 2020 keynote. These software became available at around 2:00 PM PT or 5:00 AM UTC.

In all likelihood, the third beta of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 still could be released today. If not—I suspect it will available next week on Monday. It could still likely happen this Wednesday or Thursday though, on rare occasions Friday as well. But never on a Tuesday.

Hopefully... they will add the long-awaited Clock app widget. It would also be spectacular if they added the new macOS Big Sur wallpaper, indubitably!

Yeah, it’s usually released every other Tuesday, and then every week when it’s late in the release cycle.
