Seeing it now. Apologies for doubting, but nowhere, not even Twitter, had anyone confirming at the time I questioned it.

Yes they did. Last year with iOS 13.7, it went from Beta to final release after 6 days. Additionally iOS 13.1, 13.2, 13.3 all did the same, from memory. iOS 12.1 through to 12.4, iOS 11.1 through to 11.4…. And many more before that.

Okay then, it can be the first time with iOS 14. I hope.

It seems like starting with iOS 14, all the point releases have an RC now. I don't see why they would skip one for 14.7...

It's random as to what ones got an RC/GM and what didn't, so you shouldn't assume. There's nothing in this release that there's a need for an RC, as it's just bugs/behind the scenes things. Also, point releases that come out whilst the next full release is in beta is where you more commonly see there being no RC/GM, so the precedent is there.....
