Just trying to help here, but commenting "yayyyy beta today!" or, "it's coming guys! 1 hour, 30 minutes, 5 minutes to go!", and asking when the GM will release gets quite repetitive and annoying after a while. The enthusiasm is nice, but too much of it clogs up the thread after a while.

The public beta always releases shortly after the dev beta. It hasn't released yet, so it'll likely be tomorrow.

because IOS 14 has been very stable since day one.

Again, that is NOT how the betas and developer preview process works. Apple has a plan. They will follow the plan. It matters not how stable or unstable any given release is.

Just hope they don't do that dumb 14.1 garbage like the did for 13. I'm not installing anymore if they do.

I was happy to be on the latest version of the iOS 14 beta until I realized internally, most people in Apple are already running iOS 14 that are several versions ahead of the dev beta.

Apple's design evangelism manager just tweeted three "smiling face with tears" emojis which is probably only coming in iOS 14.1:
