AHHHHHHHH there we go! We have a traitor amongst us cross breeding with his products. Only joking.

I can’t speak for Windows, I would of liked to have thought that process would be universal, but could be the reason your getting promoted for a back up.

if you were on a mac, put it on the Christmas list, you don’t need to use a back up and your iOS gets wiped off and reinstalled quick and easy. If I’d known that early on, I would have instructed you slightly differently. 👍🏼
The Windows shift/update doesn't need a backup either. Works like you mentioned. I believe he is saying certain apps need to be signed in again not restored from backup.

After restoring my iPhone 13 Pro Max to 15.0.1, I did the OTA again to 15.1 beta 3, but now it’s working like a charm. No heating or battery draining issues.
Has the problem of low battery after restarting been fixed with that version of iOS?

Has anyone got problem with eSim on the new beta, I can't make/receive calls, when dialing I've go three short beeps and hangs up, like a network error? Network reset as well removing eSim didn't fix the problem. I'll try to downgrade to official iOS and see if that will fix the problem.

Same here.

B3 is just a hot mess. The heat and battery drain issue is pretty concerning. I’ve always been on betas and this is the first one ever that’s given me this much issue. Here’s my battery usage when it suddenly drained my battery overnight. Mail was the culprit this time but the last time this happened it was Exposure Notification 🤷‍♂

Downgraded to 15.0.1 and back to 15.1 B3 and I’m still having this issue. Guess I’ll stick to 15.0.1 till I know for sure this has been resolved in the next betas.

Good I'm not alone, was thinking there is a issue with Network Provider, hope downgrade will fix the problem.
I had the same issue but after some advice, I downloaded the IPSW Beta 3 file from www.ipsw.dev. Much better experience.

yeah my bad. You just assume, and shouldn’t, everyone’s on macs. MacRumors, apple phones, MacBook Pro chats… you just automatically are consumed by it, to stop and think, “windows” no chance. Yuk.

It’s all good. I knew how to do it on windows. I use to work with smartphones a long time ago. Back in the 6 and 6S era. So I kind of knew what to do. I did a 2 year stent with Verizon. It’s just been a few years lol

On windows and Mac the process is the same, only the access keys change. The problem mentioned by the colleague I think is more of iOS itself, because when I bought my phone and went from iOS 14 to beta 7 of iOS 15, I download all the apps again as if I had restored a backup, and the update was by OTA. Later when I updated, by OTA also, from beta 7 to beta 8, he did it again. Then it has not happened to me again, neither installing by OTA nor by iTunes in windows. I'm talking about what happened to me without restoring, restoring is normal for it to do so.

Exactly what I was stating. Like my bank apps. I had to login again. And I suck at remembering passwords because of finger print sensors and Face ID
I'll use this opportunity to recommend anybody that doesn't have their Apple ID password memorized write that s*** down and keep it somewhere safe! I've been in a few situations where I needed to reset my phone and had no way of restoring from backup since my password was saved in Keychain.

Likely just a beta issue. Some had reported similar on Beta 3 (or 4, I cont remember which) of 15.0 and it getting hot. As for the draining, that's also known to happen in betas, happened to me for 14.0, just random app/process just drained in a couple hours.

Beta life =/= Public release life

Report to Apple, just in case, but I would expect either way, come RC, it will stop.

In the latest iOS 15.0.2 I´m stil having problem with the writing text field covering the latest messages in Message when using Magic Keyboard on my iPad. Does anybody know if this is fixed in the 15.1 beta?

I just checked and this is an option I have on 15.0.2. I believe it was one of those iOS 15 new features. Have not really understood the need but to each their own.
I think the idea is that you can now adjust text size for each app individually if you want. So, you have a certain app open and in the foreground that you want to increase the text size - open control panel and this test size slider will now show that app's name on the left (where your image shows "Home Screen Only"), and "All Apps" to the right.
You can now make a single applications text bigger, or apply globally to al apps.....
