i added my battery performance just as a comparison to help you judge if your 13 pro battery should be better.

like I said, needle in a haystack buddy.
No iPhone 12 makes you 10 or 11 hours of screen on, not a 13 pro Max does that. It is impossible for you to arrive with 50% with 5 and a half hours of screen on unless you just watch videos with the brightness to the minimum ... it seems strange to me. I am very happy with the battery in the 13 pro. I get to the end of the day with 50%

The diagnosis by Apple is good, but the autonomy of an iPhone 12 does not reach 11 hours of autonomy with a real use said by Apple! Unless you use it with everything at a minimum ...

Fix identified for future update. Sounds like what it says. Unless I’m reading it wrong.
That is exactly my point.
If this is True then why are people saying that their issue is resolved by restoring phone with IPSW files.
Either the issue is resolved in the current beta and the status update is incorrect, or alternatively the bug fix observed by users by restoring from IPSW is not a completely correct status.

Because we don’t know what the issue is. It could be something simple enough that upgrading with ipsw file fixes it. And apple doesn’t want to deal with people having to use an ipsw file to fix it. So they’ve probably identified something that is wrong in their upgrade that will solve the issue and allow it to not happen.

Or it could mean they will look into it to identify it. Or I could be 100% completely wrong lol

I understand you, but it seems incredible to me that the battery of your iPhone 12 gives you a couple of hours more than what Apple officially offers when that has never happened! I don't know what use you give your iPhone or what predefined settings you have, but your data seems crazy to me! You may have had the iPhone with the best drum set in the production series! 😂

I’ve been having the over heating and severe battery drain as well. Was redirected here. Thanks @Pearsey for the info. I’ll give the IPSW version a go.

I ended up back on beta 2. I will wait for beta 4 to upgrade again. Using the ipsw seemed to fix it for a while but it became an issue during charging. Now with beta 2. My phone stays cold to the touch no matter what I’m doing. Even during gaming.

I'm experiencing the phone issue where it drops calls randomly, very annoying. also the speakerphone button does not stay lit up, even though it stays on speakerphone. reported.

also if you lock your screen when on a call, it hangs up the phone. I don't remember this being the case before?
I’m seeing same issues. New to beta 3.
Also I can’t seem to keep my AirPods connected. Both Pro and the max suddenly drop off at the same time and have to be repaired to the phone

If anything my battery has improved with beta 3. Never hot or even warm, always nice and cool.
But this is not some fancy, schmancy high powered 😂 iPhone 13 just a measly SE20. Solid device👍

I've been preoccupied with the iPhone 13 pro and cameras for a long time. I was doing video tests and I have noticed that the macro mode does not work at 4K 60fps! But if I activate 4k at 24 and 30 fps and HD yes! I thought my iPhone was broken !! Has anyone else tried it?

I wanted to ask about the battery of the iPhone 13 Pro. Apple promises about 8 hours of autonomy in the Pro versions, we all agree that if we deactivate data, bluetooth and use only wifi and play videos, we use whatsapp and social networks those 8 hours can be comply, but in my daily use, with half an hour of face time, calls, social networks, whatsapp, clash royale and some other application does not reach me more than 6 hours and a half or even 7 hours if I rush it. Is my battery bad or is it normal with the applications and use that I give it? It is true that in video and multimedia playback it consumes much less, but with a little facetime and the odd game, autonomy is greatly reduced ...
Actually it's always stated as "up to x hrs". So yeah how you use your device and what settings you have on determines your particular battery usage. It is a total a user based scenario. Apple does not "promise" any use time.

Not sure what everyone always obsesses over battery life so much and turn off everything to try and get another 15 minutes of use. With all the battery packs, chargers, car chargers etc available these days and with the fast charge times these devices have it shouldn't be a problem to top of if really need to. Of course turning off things you totally are not using just makes since to do. Like I dont need apps refreshing in the background. If I need to know x about Y app it only takes a second to update when I open it. But for the most part I just use my phone and if I end up needing a top off I find a way to juice it a bit.

Restoring from IPSW fixed it for me at first but after time, the numbers got messed up again. This definitely will still need to be addressed.

Finally someone says it lol like why buy a 1000$ device and then use half of it? Lol I completely agree.

I completely agree. It’s totally user dependent. I use my phone all day long, only a couple short calls a day at most but use a variety of other features and functions throughout the day. I’ve never turned off any setting - no location setting, no background refresh setting, etc. I almost never even look at those settings. My location arrow symbol is always present on the screen because of a variety of features that I need and want to be active.

All this and I’ve never ended the day with less than 50% battery left. Actually I’ve very rarely hit 50%. However I always buy the large Max/Pro Max phones and I always get a new one at least every 2 years if not every year. All batteries degrade over time but over 2 years or less of having my phones I’ve never even had to think about what my batter level is. About the only time I even look at the battery level is when I read the hysterical posts here, especially those about that damn location arrow. Mine has never gone off! Big whoop!!

There’s no way to edit a personal saved dictionary of words added. There’s shots be a way to edit this. I don’t believe there is without resetting the keyboard. Anyone else find this helpful? I submitted a suggestion FB9690148.
