iOS 15.1 Beta 3 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Seems to be really good right now..

Might have to jump on the beta train again, keep me updated with how safari is going over WiFi, if it was up to me, I'd fire every single person who has worked on iOS, since beta 8. 🤦‍♂️

They added the ability to turn off Auto Macro in Settings > Camera

when this is turned off , how do you activate the macro mode in camera? I can’t find how

If you do make sure you do it with IPSW .. no OTA. 😂. For sure seems better right now others can chime in

Any word if ProRes files get stored seperately? Or do they upload to iCloud Photos like any other video?

ProRes is so huge, automatically uploading to iCloud is not the best idea.

It appears to store in the cloud. Also provides a helpful dialog at the top of the frame indicating how much recording time you have at resolution.

I believe after switching to the 0.5x camera you move in however close you want and then tap to focus for manual macro shots. A bit of a tedious process, but it works. I think maybe a button for manual macro mode would have been great to eliminate some steps and simplify the process 🤷‍♂️

So noting has been fixed. 🤦‍♂️😐 had to reboot my modem this morning, so safari would pick up speed again. this is on 15.0.1

Beta 3 seems more solid. Feels more like an official release and not a beta. Update was 5+GB on my 11 M1 iPad.

I wonder when Apple will address the Touch Respond bug and the ProMotion bug. Would probably be mentioned in the “Resolved” section. Coming from 15.0.1 to this beta it feels good and a lot more polished.

Aghhh no don’t do it.. I’m telling you that was an issue for me with OTA and ever since I started doing IPSW I haven’t seen what others are experiencing ..no storage bug issue, no Wi-Fi issue , no touch issue on this beta.. my personal opinion and belief is I will only do IPSW going forward .. Never will do OTA again if I don’t have to..

If you are using the ultrawide, you are using macro. Ultrawide IS the macro lens

Youtube App...force close and reopen fresh. Now search for a video. Try tapping the first result without scrolling the results list first. Video wont open.

This also happens on my wife's phone.
