Couple of new issues…

1. Randomly it shows either 5G or WiFi when it is actually on WiFi. When showing 5G a check shows it is really using WiFi. Did not see this on 15.0.2

2. Even though Private Relay is off, I will occasionally get the following alert: (I am on AT&T 5G Unlimited plan)

Photos

When selecting multiple photos, if I start on a row from the left and swipe right then up to select multiple photos, the middle and right photo will unselect themselves when you swipe up. If you swipe right to left it works fine. Just left to right has this bug.

I also want to signal a problem. I have an iPhone 11, I took the phone in 100% battery health in July, I updated from IOS 15.0.2 to IOS 15.1 and I have a problem. The battery discharges a bit faster and at the same time, if I restart it, the battery decreases by 3%. Always. Am I the only one suffering? I guess I have to wait for the next update.

  • Battery algorithms updated on iPhone 12 models to better estimate battery capacity over time

I still don’t see any message in my battery health page that it is getting optimized. I have a Pro 12. is there something special I need to do to see it?

I am now 15.2 on my iPad
Wrong thread.

Interesting…is this a beta? I just updated to 15.1 on my iPadPro with the message that it is the latest current version.
Yes.

Still in the same exact spot after leaving my iPad Pro 11 plugged in for a several days. It never moves.

Does anyone know what “curating” even does? It still seems to be picking featured photos and creating memories, so I have no idea if this is a display issue or an actually problem.

On an unrelated note. While I do have a shared with you section in photos which is populating (except for one photo on my iPhone 12 Pro Max which won’t download for some reason), the shared for you section in News and Safari on both my iPhone and iPad aren’t populating. They are on my MacBook Air with 12.0.1. Since the MBA and iOS devices have the same shared with you in photos, I assume they should be the same in News and Safari, but they aren’t.

Did the issue where CarPlay ***** out switching between music and podcasts get fixed? Seriously annoying.

My 10.5 iPad Pro.
when I add a .?!, to a sentence it always backs up and removes the last letter!!! I always have to back space and re type?? this has been going on for ever. I keep hoping updates will fix, stop thi.
Also now when I turn my iPad on in the mornin, (just did it again by remo the g at the end of morning) there is no way to type. I must make it sleep and then wake it.

I have an incredibly new and annoying issue with Apple Music: I am a chronic skipper of songs when I listen to recommendations. Now occasionally my iPhone goes into a stuck skip button mode and skips through all songs without playing them (like the skip button gets stuck).

Anyone else? It literally never stops skipping when this happens, I have to kill the app & wait a bit to resume normal playback (or pick another playlist).
No one with this issue? This has literally ruined my week because I always have to kill the Music app and re-open to resume playback, then it works again for a handful of songs until it goes back to mass-skipping-loop without any playback (even if I don't skip any song and let them play out).

//EDIT: The 3rd restart this week seems to have fixed the issue for now (several hours of playback without issues).

Anyone having issues with optimized charging not working on this build? The last few nights I noticed my phone is fully charged around midnight. When looking at the graph, there is either no hold at 80 percent, or a very small hold, then continuing. Also, I rarely see a notification about this feature.

Mine never worked since I got my new phone. Was working fine on my previous phone.

The way I got it working was to turn off Optimize Battery, hard reboot, wait until the next day and turn on Optimized battery again. I'm not sure if you need to wait until the next day to turn it on but that's what I did as it was recommended in some other post I read.

Thanks bud. I will definitely try. One thing I would like to note though, I still have the 12 pro, not a new phone. Not sure exactly when it started but looking at the graphs would show that something got messed up.

If you have not already: reset all settings (irritating, i know). Then I would take phone in to Apple, or at least have them run diagnostics remotely. With my relatively new 11 Pro, I experienced somewhat poor battery life since Sept, then in October some unexpected shutdowns. After being away for a week with 11 Pro OFF, it would not charge or turn on. Turns out the battery had swollen and so Apple replaced it. This iPhone was an AppleCare replacement I purchased in Feb 2021 after a "mishap."

It is in Flightmode. 3% is a normal drop, but this is way too much.

Is your phone loosing 14% over night?
From your graph it's difficult to tell. Last charged to 100% around 10Uhr. 24 hr later it's ~55-60? Maybe a little high drain, but what is all the use before 00uhr?

If you want a standard test, turn off Optimized charging (for one day), charge to 100% before you go to sleep, then unplug. See what it drains over 8-10 hrs while you don't touch it. If you don't turn off optimized charging, it will show 100% but it will not really be 100%, I believe.

I'm think my drain is higher that expected on 13 Pro; culprits seem to be FindMy and Calendar, oddly. I think I'm need to go live my life and stop obsessing about battery...

Is anyone having issues with Calendar in 15.1? I have issues where the events aren’t showing, or appear on the wrong days at completely random times and the calendar widget is just permanently showing the default “loading” image, with no details. I have to close and reopen the app and use the calendar Month view to navigate to a specific day, swiping left or right on days messes with rendering.

Same for the notifications for apple pay purchases not showing up all the time
Contacted my local bank and they saying that it is not their issue , problem lies with apple
Could be a software glitch , iOS 15.1 is a pubic release, should not be having this kind of problem
Any 1 have any solution for this kindly share , thanks
